Information Technology (IT), is also responsible for the development and maintenance of a DRP to ensure that any damage or disruptions to critical assets can be minimized and restored to normal or near-normal operation as quickly as possible. For these reasons, Corporate Risk Management requires that;
• All Business Continuity plans and supporting disaster recovery plans are in compliance with and in support of any and all legal and regulatory requirements that the business is subject to.
• Business units conduct risk assessments to identify, estimate, and prioritize risks to organizational operations and conduct business impact analyses to identify operational and financial impacts of disaster as well as critical resource requirements, vital records, manual workarounds, and supporting IT systems needed to sustain or recover business operations. Risk Management is open to assist in this process.
• Business units develop a clear and detailed structural system to effectively report, respond, manage, and recover from either an incident or a disastrous
