I know that with a college degree you are able to make more money than a person with a high school degree. Also, more jobs will require you to have a college education. Since you will have a college education, you will have more career choices and the employment rate will be higher, compared to a student with a high school degree.

Getting a college degree will always benefit you. Sometimes it may seem like it’s not worth the time, or not worth the money. But you have to think about your future, and where you want to end up. Getting a higher level of education will improve your communication skills and you will develop greater creative thinking skills along with the ability to creatively solve problems given to you. This will aid in your advantage in being able to acquire a good job that will provide you with financial security. Langston Hughes was an African-American writer in the 1920's. He was best known for his stories in the Harlem Renaissance about the Black Culture. Hughes emphasized the theme that “Black is Beautiful.” In Hughes' short story, “Why, You Reckon,” he writes through the main character, the narrator, a poor, 'hongry' Black. Hughes uses character and scene description, symbolism, themes, and dialogue to set his story up and make it more interesting and historical to the reader.

This means people who received a college degree had a better chance of finding and retaining a well-paying job because they are typically skilled in one profession that cannot easily be replaced, such as a doctor or engineer.

Many young people see going to school as a chore and only go because they have to, some students skip school because it’s boring and “unnecessary”. Many individuals are raised with the belief that one needs a college education in order to succeed in life. There’s a saying by John Green that says “every year, many, many stupid people graduate from college and if they can do it, so can you,” but as technology is constantly advancing and computers running 24/7, is a college education really necessary? There are some people who have never been to college and are doing better than people who have achieved a master’s degree. These people (Bill Gates, Steve Jobs) portray unrealistic expectations in youth. Is the cost of college worth a degree? The possibilities are endless because there are views from both sides that contain a valid argument.

The word ain’t is one of the most commonly-overlooked mistake in the English dictionary. It is used very often in TV, books, movies, media, and music, so we shouldn’t be surprised it is now in our real life. Even though our English teachers and grammar textbooks label the word ain’t as incorrect the use of the word has not been banished and we have no idea if it ever will be. Since, it continues to be in our language, and we often us it we should be informed of its origin and its development. However, there are different opinions on the development. Most writers on this issue seems to agree that the word ain’t has not been fully investigated and needs further research. Essays. Whenever I hear that word during English class, I literally want to throw myself out the window. One thing I thought was beneficial about being in high school, my teachers though us how to write essays, they weren’t as strict. They held my hand through out the essays. It would be a big change now, being in college. I never been as creative as my fellow classmates, but I love writing. Writing about my feelings and problems down on a piece of paper, takes out the pressure I have. Writing a essay is way different, I thought so, because I always have trouble of getting the requirements right or my creativeness is not in there. As I grow older and advance more in high school, I started to see a pattern about my problems about writing essays. My grammar and punctuation are really bad but I gotten better, as long as I reread my essay over a few times, it’ll get better.
