Four was well written and thorough enough to explain the story to readers. They were able to see struggles to overcome, emotions to feel, and anticipation for what’s next to come. The author lets others see what happened before they met Tris. I personally enjoyed reading this book and
I have finished my book and I am going to read book number 3. The part I absolutely love was when Mackenzie gets her lips super glued thinking it was lip gloss. The part I hated was when Nikki got humiliated at the Halloween dance. Yes I do like the way the author writes because the way she writes is funny.
This is one of the first paragraphs in the book. It really gives a clear message to what this story is really going to entail. For example, the grief Tris will have to accommodate to for killing her friend Will. How she and Tobias are now fugitives and must never stay in one place for too long. Lastly, how Tobias and her relationship forms and grows.
I thought that I would like the book because I like fantasy but the book did not turn like I thought that it would. I would recommend it to a friend but only if that friend liked books about magic and magical creatures. I like the fantasy genre but not this book. There is a sequel to this book already but I don’t think that I will read it. I didn’t really like the ending because I thought that Temur and Samarkar would get
"Trifles" by Susan Glaspell is a one-act play that explores the theme of the gender roles and social positions of men and women in early twentieth-century America. The play is loosely based on the true event of the murder of John Hossack which Glaspell reported on while working as a news journalist in Iowa. Years later, she used her experiences and observations to create the play. "Trifles" is about solving the murder case of farmer John Wright. While Mr. Wright was asleep in the night, someone put a rope around his neck. The most likely suspect is his wife, Mrs. Wright/Minnie Foster. Susan Glaspell shows in the play how women are seen as inferior and how men and women act and think differently.
Veronica’s success landed her in Forbes 2014 magazine as the sixth most profitable author in the world (web). Not to mention only at age 26 Chicago based Roth as one of the youngest writers to have such success (web). Divergent makes the reader think if they were in Tris’s shoes what they would choose. Would you want to be with your family? Or do you want to experience life and go with what the feel is the best thing in for themselves? The readers tend to fall with Trish and the guy she falls in love with. As a critique tells us “Veronica Roth’s Divergent was based around many aspects, but what I like the most about this book was that it displays the not only the relationship that Tris had with four” (web). Tris the main character of Divergent gave the fans a connection with the young teen. “Divergent by Veronica Roth is, for all good and bad, a young adult book, carrying with it all the troops and ideological perfection unnecessary when writing sixteen year old stuff” (web). The book really showed readers that it is okay to choose who they want to be in life and to take the consequences of it. It might be the best thing they do in life or the worst but the best part of it all is that
The only thing I have to complain is that the pacing in the middle got really slow for me. It made me put the book down and I didn't want to pick it up. It was really hard to get passed it. But thank goodness I did because once I got through it, I was able to enjoy the story once
I actually REALLY enjoyed this book. I received the novel as a gift from a family friend over the summer but only really got around to reading it recently and, I have to say, I have never read anything quite this unique.
I would like to conclude by saying that this novel The Lord of the Rings has inspired many spin off works, including several games as well. The enormous popularity of Tolkien’s epic saga has greatly expanded the demand for fantay novels, largely thanks to the Lord of the Rings. It is an an extraordinary work, grandly conceived, brilliantly executed and wildly entertaining novel of Tolkien .In the whole novel we see that it 's a hobbit 's dream, a wizard 's delight. And, of course, it 's only the beginning. The language used in this novel is very simple and easy to understand by people. In short this novel has won the hearts of many .This novel is a must read. I see this novel as a near perfect: It 's one of the best fantasy novel ever written. The story just revolves around the Ring which is created by a Dark lord, Sauron. It has brought the supernaturalism in such a way that we could clearly make out where is the supernaturalism used.
The series Harry Potter by J.K Rowling is an interesting type of fiction. This series follows a boy by the name of Harry and his journeys through the wizardry world. In his journey, he attends a wizardry school, Hogwarts, and meets both friends and foes that will help his ultimate goal, defeating Lord Voldemort. Questions arise whether if this series is a true fantasy, despite the wizardry and magical elements all throughout the series, or just simply a children 's fiction with adventure. With it 's tactical combination of each of it 's parenting genres and it 's use of using both high and low fantasy, Harry Potter can be called an urban fantasy.
Myself as a reader is very political. I like to incriminate the bad character and discriminate against others as well. I think it’s a habit I’ve picked up because of watching so many crime TV shows and wanting to become a lawyer when I grow up so I’m very political and against many things.
The first time I wrote a book I was in fourth grade and this was my first project. The teacher gave the class a day to brainstorm about our favorite thing or things to do. I was so excited when i left school, I told my mom all about it. My moms first question is “So what’s your favorite thing to do?”. At that point I couldn’t tell her what was my favorite thing to do because I had too many things I liked to do.
Would you ever want to live in a world where you are categorised by your actions and thoughts. Well this is what Tris has to live with. She was born into the Abnegation faction (the selfless) but never felt like she belonged. She is told in her aptitude test that she has traits from Abnegation, Dauntless(the brave), and Erudite(the intelligent). She was divergent. I never truly knew what that meant until the end of this book and I still wonder if I know everything. After reading this book I think is very good and keeps you interested, but I have found some flaws. Although I really enjoyed the book in the beginning, it did not have enough detail and left me confused. The book was also very predictable and was way too long to have the main action only at the end.
homework and school itself. When kids get books they want to read then right away and let me tell you the is a great choice.Books come in different shapes, colors, genres, fonts and so on.Author’s have different styles on how the create each book and that is what makes each author and book special. So remember when you go to a public library so please remember the author did not have to spend hours on the book to hear you criticize them.Books are the key to success but when you get a book ask yourself is this my favorite genre? Is this book relaxing?Last but not least, does this book have educational value for collage? If you answered yes to all these questions then you are on a right path to greatness someday.
