Thirty-one years ago, my parents were illegal immigrants that came to The United States to reach the American dream just like a U.S. Citizen. With hard work, dedication, and with the help of an amnesty they were able to reach their goals and provide a good reputation to this country. But how do illegal immigrants benefit The United States? Government budget surplus, agriculture food prices and the economy are one of many reasons why illegal immigrants reflect an important benefit in The United States.
Going back to history, in 1607, a group British people immigrated to America creating colonies on the East coast of North America. They claimed to be settlers instead of immigrants and their territory claimed to be govern by England. All

President Trump said:
"When Mexico sends its people, they 're not sending their best. They 're not sending you. They 're not sending you. They 're sending people that have lots of problems, and they 're bringing those problems with us. They 're bringing drugs. They 're bringing crime. They 're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."
President Donald Trump has order the arrest and deportation of undocumented immigrants that have committed minor crimes and offences like a DUI. I agree with President Trump with the deportation of illegal immigrants that have criminal records because they are a threat to our families and our country, but unfortunately the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers are taking any illegal immigrant that is among those people that have criminal records.
First, illegal immigrants benefit the government budget surplus just like an American Citizen. For a fact, most illegal immigrants that work in the United States pays taxes like American citizens and don’t rely on government programs like welfare and food stamps. For instance, I asked my parents how did they filed taxes back then? My father told me that back then in the 1980’s they could not file taxes because illegal immigrants did not have a social security number. Nowadays, the government provides ITIN number for illegal immigrants that are working in the United States for them to report and pay taxes. Not only that, but they also pay for
Illegal immigrants cost the United States billions of dollars each year in things such as welfare and healthcare costs; illegal immigrants are not even supposed to have
Many people believe that immigrants do not provide us with any beneficial effects to our country. This is not the case at all. At one point all of the current Americans that reside in the United States today had ancestors that traveled from another country or countries to the United States of America, thus making us all decedents of immigrants. Immigration helps boost up the economy, not hurt it, for the most part. Illegal immigrants take jobs that have lower pay and horrible hours. They also tend not to file for tax returns or claim their Social Security money (Aquino 2016). Illegal immigrants do not claim social security or file for taxes in order to prevent themselves from being found out and deported back
First of all, immigrants positively benefit the United States in which most of the time is not understood. One of the most important political rights is that all persons born in the U.S. are automatically citizens. Immigrants have been able to live in any place where they please, buy a house, land, or business without restrictions helping the government’s money cycle. Immigrants can seek for jobs, except for certain government jobs that are restricted to U.S. citizens, on an equal balance in ways that bring new
Within the United States there are more than11 million undocumented immigrants. This makes up at least 3.5% of the population total. Immigration law as have resulted in a situation where many undocumented immigrants live and work in the United States, but is also an issue entirely blow out of proportion by media and politician. Undocumented immigrants are beneficial to the US economy because they make up the majority of our work force and bring in billions in revenue yearly.
Furthermore, undocumented immigrants do indeed contribute to the American economy. They and their families generate revenue as workers and consumers, and contrary to popular belief, pay the inevitable sales and property taxes. Most illegal immigrants are not even eligible to receive benefits from Social Security
Since America is a capitalist society, the objective of life is to make as much money as possible. When the government collects immigrant’s money, that money gets redistributed into the economy for other people to earn. In this recession the US needs to continuously put money into the economy and illegal immigrants help with that.
Although the term “illegal aliens” has quite a stigma around it, there are many Americans that believe the immigrants coming to our country are doing more good than harm. These immigrants often do not pay an income tax, but everything that they spend their money on is still taxed, so they do add to the United States tax revenue. Also, they increase the amount of cheap labor available in the states and cause more money to be circulated around in the economy. With companies using this cheap labor, they can use the money they save to sell to a wider market and possible for a cheaper price. This, in theory, could be a very positive outcome of illegal immigration. Along with the possible boosts to the economy that they are believed to provide, they also seem to directly coincide with the idea of the
There has been a debate that illegal immigrants harm the U.S. economy. Indeed, the United States makes it very hard for legal immigrants to obtain U.S. citizenship, so some people that are seeking a better life have no other options rather than come into the country illegally. In order to get your citizenship, you have to go through a lot of paper work that costs a lot of money and time. I believe that legal migrants are boosting the U.S. economy by paying all the taxes and money for the paper work that they are required to go through. At the same time, illegal immigrants make a negative impact on the U.S. economy. The cost of securing the border is very high, so Americans end up spending more money in order to prevent illegal immigration break down. The efforts to stop the large amounts of migrants make the security problem worse by forcing migrant workers to work illegally. By creating the Immigration Reform Bill, the U.S. can improve their economy in many ways. First, increased immigration expands the American workforce and encourages more business start-ups. Second, the policy increases financial productivity by raising the supply of low and high skilled immigrants. While many people will argue that granting citizenship to illegal immigrants is considered breaking the law, sometimes it is cheaper and more
Immigration reform is one of the most controversial topic in the U.S. The Democrats and Republicans are having a tug of war over finding a solution to allowing illegal immigrants grant citizenship and allowing their families to stay in the this country. Just last month, President Obama had a televised executive decision talking about immigration reform. President Obama discussed how the executive decisions like providing legal status and work permits for more than 5 million immigrants, making the Republicans very reluctant to help support President Obama’s executive decision. In President Obama speech, he talks about how “today, our immigration system is broken, and everybody knows it. Families who enter our country the right way and play by the rules watch others flout the rules” (Washington Post). For President Obama, making this executive decision puts Congress in an unsettling place on either supporting this decision or backing out. So how would illegal immigrants help out the U.S when granted amnesty? Immigration laws have certainly resulted in a situation where many illegal immigrants live and work in the United States, but it is also an issue that has been fabricated by the media and Politicians. Illegal immigrants are a benefit to the U.S because they would help the economy, raise unemployment rates, and help students have a better education.
George W. Bush, former president of the United States of America once said, “America is a nation of immigration; immigration is good for America and for those who come here seeking freedom and opportunity.” In our country today, one of the most heated ongoing debates addresses illegal immigrants and their right to benefits as people residing in the United States. Undocumented illegal aliens should unquestionably receive benefits because our country itself was constructed and founded by immigrants, the tremendous amount of money they pump into our economy through taxes will never return to them as they do to us, and they are willing and able to do work that most Americans wouldn’t even think of attempting to do.
They help the economy by starting their own businesses. By creating businesses, they are creating more job opportunities for other immigrants and Americans. In 2011 illegal immigrants started over twenty eight percent of U.S businesses. They also help out the economy by working on farms. If they deported all the illegal immigrants that work on farms there would not be enough americans to replace every illegal immigrant. If they deported half of the illegal immigrant population it would also reduce the economic growth by two hundred fifty billion dollars. But if they removed all of the illegal immigrants working on a farm the economic growth would drop about four hundred billion dollars.
The government is spending money on immigrants, which include Social Security, Medicare, and unemployment insurance. Illegal immigrant households receive an average of $5,629 in welfare alone each year (www.townhall.com). A positive I did find, was that the government has about 340 million tax forms that are unclaimed. This is due to undocumented immigrants giving employers fake Social Security cards. This means that immigrants are paying taxes but won’t receive any of the benefits. The money is given back out to aging Americans. (www.thealantic.com)
They are not sending you. They are not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapist. And some, I assume, are good people.” end of quote. According to Washington Post Trump responded by saying, “If you look at the statistics of people coming… I didn’t say about Mexico, I say the illegal immigrants - if you look at statistics on rape, on crime, on everything, coming in illegally to the country, they're mind boggling.” They responded by saying that every part of that is incorrect. He did say his comments about Mexico, explicitly. And data shows that immigrants, including illegal immigrants are actually less likely to commit crime, not more. I believe that those types of comments that he makes are not only deeply offensive to Mexican-Americans, but to Latino Americans in
“When do we beat Mexico at the border their laughing at us our stupidity and now their beating us economically. they are not our friends believe me but their killing us economically when Mexico sends its people, they are not sending you, they are sending people that has a lots of problem and they brining those problems with us, they are bringing drugs they bring crime, their rapist and I assume are good people but I speak to border guards and they tell us what we’re getting”.
An economic boost is something the government longs for and shockingly many illegal immigrants have provided just that. According to an article written by The Nation, “undocumented immigrants contribute about $11.6 billion to the economy annually, including nearly $7 billion in sales and excise taxes and $3.6 billion in property taxes. They are, in economic terms, productive citizens, and pay a higher effective tax rate than the top 1 percent income bracket.” (Chen). This information helps put into perspective how much the undocumented immigrants contribute to america's economy. The thought that illegal immigrants have helped boost our economy is something that does not settle well with many americans. Americans do not like the fact that people who are not even truly apart of the country are the ones helping it rather than the naturally born citizens. The government has spent years trying to find ways to make the economy bigger and better. They never expected immigrants to be the solution.
