The researcher collected the data in person through a survey which measured their stress level on a scale from 1-10, with 1 meaning no stress at all and 10 meaning highly stressful, we also asked question pertaining to why the felt their stress was at this level for this particular year, such as “What aspects of the current year did you find the most stressful.” “If you are a senior which year did you find the most stressful and why.” It is also important to note that this was based on your year in the program (cohort) and it was not based on your credit hours achieved. Some students are considered seniors based on their credit hours but are in the junior cohort, we are only interested in their stress levels based on the year of the program. The Independent variables include the year at which they are in the social work program, this was divided into two groups which were dependent on if you are a junior or a senior in the program. The dependent variable measured the amount of stress each group reported. The researcher used a T- test for independent samples to analyze the data that was collected. Results The mean for group one (Juniors) was 7.61and the standard deviation was 1.08. 7.61(1.08) group two (Seniors) the mean was 8.00 and the standard deviation was 1.30. 8.00(1.30) with a level of significance of .05.
