Thomas Alva Edison was an American inventor and businessman. He was born on February 11th 1847 in Milan, Ohio (USA) and died October 18th, 1931 in West Orange, New Jersey (USA). Thomas Edison had been considered very well known as an inventor by many people all around the world. Some of his greatest contributions as an inventor that had influenced life globally had been the Phonograph (1877), The Motion Picture Camera (1892) and publicly introduced globally in 1893. One of the most common inventions that he had developed as an inventor was the The Long Lasting Practical Electric Light Bulb invented on December 31st, 1879.

Thomas Edison had been married to a 16 year old woman called Mary Stilwell in 1871-1884. The marriage between Thomas Edison and Mary Stilwell concluded in 1884 (by death of the bride) they had also raised three children. On February 24th, 1886 at 39 years of age, he had married Mina Miller who was 20 years old in Akron, Ohio (USA). Some would say it was his influence that lead to the industrial revolution of the late 1800s. His work in the early 1900s on electric vehicle storage batteries, and his vision for clean urban transportation, anticipated the importance of electric cars today. Edison recognised the importance of solar and wind energy in the late 1920s. He envisioned the future of pollution concerns and worries for the environment to keep it free from the issue.

Thomas Edison had completed his education and studies at The Cooper Union which he had attended in 1875 and had finished in 1879 in New York, USA.
