Thomas Jefferson’s role in and after the American Revolution

Thomas Jefferson born April 13th 1743 was a founding father of America, the main author of the declaration and the third president of the United States. Although Thomas Jefferson never fought in hand-to-hand combat he used his thoughts and wisdom to fight for independence. The beginning of the revolution takes place around 1763 right after the French and Indian war Great Britain’s national debt was more than 122 million pounds. The crown wanted to tax colonists because of the debt. They argued that everyone that was under Britain rule should pay the debt.
