1. There are three components required to determine a causal relationship. The three components are temporal precedence, covariation of the cause and effect and no plausible alternative explanations, these are the three things you need to determine a causal relationship. Temporal precedence is showing the cause before the effect happen. Covariation of the cause and effect, prove that they have some type of relationship. Between the two things they share a relationship somehow. The last one is no plausible alternative explanations that mean because they have a relationship it does not mean it is causal relationship, but it could be a factor or something that cause the outcome.
