What is a teacher? A teacher is someone who provides education for students, someone who delivers a message for the future generation and someone who is willing to strive to help students expand their knowledge. However, not all teachers are the same. The fact that each teacher has her own personality, style and interaction with students makes the teachers come in three different types. The first type of teachers, the strict teacher, is always undesirable with the students. The strict teacher has an unpleasant face. She’ll walk into the class without a smile on her face neither a salute. Usually teachers would wait for students to come after class begins, she doesn’t. The strict teacher would let a student go back home and mark them …show more content…
The friendly teacher does always have a smile on her face. She’ll come to class greeting all the students. If you got late for the class about 10 minutes, she will allow you to come to class. The friendly teacher always pushes her students to participate during the lecture, she will try her best to make learning interesting as well as creative. The friendly teacher would let you go to restrooms once during the class. After having the break, she’ll let you eat something if you didn’t have the time to. The friendly teacher would give you an assignment for each week, to get enough time to do it. She is the right person to consult your problems with. For instance, if you got a problem outside the class in any particular area of study she will be very helpful. Moreover, she is considered to be a good listener, she will find the right solution for any problem you have. The friendly teacher would let you know about each quiz you’re having before getting it, so you have the right time to study for it. Even though the friendly teacher is a good teacher, you still have to be active with her. She is a kind of a teacher who every student would want to take with
Teaching is one of the most complicated and responsible jobs. A teacher is a person who has vast knowledge of the subject matter, curriculum development, counseling and has a caring and disciplined attitude. A teacher is looked upon as a 'role model' by the students. A bilingual teacher is a person who
A teacher needs to be flexible and adaptable due to schedule changes, adapting lessons, gaining new students, adapting to various behaviors and various academic levels of students. A teacher needs to be assertive when advocating for the needs of their students, themselves and for their peers. To be outstanding you have to have compassion towards your peers, your students and their families. A teacher always need to be prepared for their day including designing lessons, creating materials, writing IEP's, knowing students levels, handling any behavior, that anything can happen and always have extra work. A teacher should be able to Multitask, you have to wear lots of hats in this field such as a mother figure, nurse, friend, disciplinarian, enemy,
Teacher are smart caring people who are always willing to help or at least some are and they are some aren't. Some Students underestimate teachers ability.
A teacher is a person who inspires and encourages us to strive for greatness, live to our fullest potential and see the best in ourselves. They are strong-willed individuals who we admire and aspire to become. We learn from them. We learn through their commitment, integrity, and perseverance. A teacher can influence many important aspects of a student’s life. They help shape a student’s personality, morality and provide them with the tools necessary to take on their future endeavors. “A good teacher can teach you something that you will remember for a day, but a great teacher will teach you something that you will remember for the rest of your life.” I was fortunate enough to find all of these qualities in my Army JROTC instructor, First Sergeant Navarra.
During the first months of school, I noticed my students spend a great deal of time off task, specifically talking out of turn. Students do not always raise their hands to answer questions, start a conversation with a classmate, or interrupt the lesson to say they do not understand a topic. I often have to spend several minutes a day asking students to stop talking, reminding students to raise their hand and wait to be called on, and spend a great deal of time waiting for my students to quiet down and refocus. I have difficulty redirecting these students back to the current task quickly, to avoid losing large amounts of instructional time and often these small disruptions become increasingly more difficult to handle as
Has someone ever made you feel welcome, taught you life lessons that would be helpful to your upcoming life, or someone that taught you something in a fun way so you actually liked learning? Someone like a teacher? A teacher is a person in our life who provides many important things including a good education. A teacher means a lot to his or her students. During the six hours a day during the 5 day a week can really impact a student's life. And I can only think of one teacher that really impacted my life- Mr. Miller.
The teacher must be a role model to all students and to show them what is right and wrong. To teach them everything possible and to be there for them when the students need you. But to also push them to try harder or to keep going. Being a teacher means creating a positive environment for your students and others around you.
I used to say a teacher that students remember positively and fondly. “Yeah, remember Ms. Mohamed, she was so nice.” But it always ended at that. All the classes before CI 4121 talked about classroom management and surface level the danger of colorblindness. And I took at that. But this class made me question, how and why would students like me? Would they like me because I gave them treats and parties? Would they think I was nice because I was sympathetic? I know for sure that I don’t want to be like Mustaf’s teacher, the culturally insensitive one. I want to be a teacher, whose students can learn from, and I can learn from them. Teaching has turned into a two-way street. In my culture, teachers are thought of as a second parent, but I’ve seen some teachers call their students friends. But I think there is a balance between formal and informal. I want my students to be able to come to me if they have a problem, a solution, something interesting or devastating to share. I want them to know I have their best interest at
A teacher has a very important role in the system of education and it is only a competent teacher who can make a generation and can bring change in society (Go, Quing,
I think of teaching as a process of mutual learning. I feel strongly that students are best served by an educator who respects and builds on the diverse abilities they bring with them to the classroom. As a teacher, I am not the gate-keeper to knowledge, but a facilitator and participant in the learning process.
Teachers are there to help young children find their way into success. They have a responsibility to shape lives of the young and impressionable children. Teachers are there to provide best advices and to educate their children's. A teacher in Scranton High School named Mrs.Gramigna was the best teacher I ever had. She was an English teacher that would take responsibility for students that are struggling in the English department. I come from an Asian family and even though I have lived in America for more than 6 years, I still have problems with English. I was struggling in Mrs.Gramigna’s class and she noticed that and she motivated me to learn vocabulary words when I go home everyday. That’s what I did and I soon started to figure out
She’s the type of person who would literally do everything in their power to help and see that you succeed. I still remember the first day of school when I entered her classroom, just fully expecting her to be the worst teacher ever, due to made up rumors the year before and honestly, I’m glad to say that she proved those rumors wrong. In fact, she’s generous, sweet, kind, adorable,
Although her time as a student teacher prepared her, she felt like she was comfortable teaching after her first year as a teacher. Moreover, she mentioned to me some of her teaching methods. On the first day of school, she would set the rules and boundaries. She also said that she would stick to her rules throughout the year to have her students learn about
The quality’s a teacher present are very important and can play a part in their teaching effectiveness. Sometimes these qualities are negative, which limits the effectiveness of the teaching processes and sometimes they are positive and can greatly help both the student and teacher. The best teachers are the ones who present a comfortable and entertaining atmosphere, have complete control over the class, and lead to the student to an answer as they give thorough explanations of the steps to any given problem.
A teacher is one who teaches or instructs, according to the Webster dictionary, but a good teacher has less than technical definition. They ask their students questions, instead of giving answers, to further the student’s thinking and make it more clear and more refined. Good teachers do not lecture and spew knowledge and facts onto their listeners, rather they engage their students to think critically and to think for themselves.
