Many people choose to migrate to another country to pursue a better life where one can make more money with higher standard of living. However in the town Ticuani, located in Mixteca, Mexico, many people choose to “transnational” between their native country and United State, New york. Where one will spend sometime in New york and some other times in Ticuani, and their life will be moving back and for the between country. Even though this sound like an easy plan, but immigrant who did this had to adapt life from both countries and faces difficulties and problems from two places. Andrei Codrescu author of Notes of an Alien Son: Immigration Paradoxes, informs us of what and how immigrants who come to America feel about moving away. The move across land of ocean can feel overwhelming, and after reading Codrescu essay I can understand why some immigrants do move to America. Change must happen with countries that don’t hold respect for their own people. You hear over and over again in the media that sadly owns America and the world about how thousands upon thousands of immigrants from all over the world are making their way to the edge of America.

The Salem Witch Trials were a dark spot in America’s early history. During a time where acts of the unknown were simply considered spiritual signs or supernatural forces with meanings; the early American settlers in Salem, Massachusetts were plagued with what they claimed were acts of the Devil putting witches in their town to disrupt Puritan beliefs and actions. One of the earliest accused witches was the village pastor’s slave Tituba Indian. Mexicans immigrated to the United States back in the 1800's (Stanford, 2006). During 1848 the United States took over a part of Mexico which is now the Southwest (Stanford, 2006). Mexicans living in these areas were Mexican citizens before the acquisition. The United States even went into agreements with Mexico to have Mexicans work in the United States. Mexicans were treated with cruelty, while working the agriculture fields for years. The changing environments throughout the ages have caused the movement of thousands of families out of their homelands. Whether forced to make such decisions or doing so by their own desires, all immigrants have had to survive the physical and psychological challenges encountered along the way. To speak about the experiences of all these different people using the same ideas and examples would be quite inaccurate. They all, however, had to live through similar situations and deal with similar problems. Many of them succeeded and found the better future they were looking for. Many others found only hardship and experienced the destruction of their hopes and dreams. All of them were transformed.

One day a Swiss Entrepreneur, Baron Christoph von Graffenreid wanted to take control of land that had been occupied with the Tuscarora village. Instead of Graffenreid talking with the Indians who were presently on the land, he decided to speak with North Carolinas surveyor general; who decided to vote in favor of Baron Christoph von Graffenreid deciding that the settlers, “held clear title to the land” (Axelrod 58). Graffenreid decided to drive the Indians off of their own land on September 22, 1711 the Indians were left with no other option but to attack (Axelrod
Traveling to Tumacacori took me about twenty five minutes to half an hour to get there. The first thing that I saw at Tumacacori was the mission and the front of the church. The front of the church used to be painted with bright colors. The pediment of the church was reconstructed in 1921. The church is made up of three stories the baptistery which is on the ground floor, the robing room on the next floor and the last floor is where the bell and the arches are found. The inside of the church is called the nave which is the central part of the church. The first thing that I saw when I walked in the church was the ruins and what caught my attention a lot was that there was a cross made out of flowers in the center of the alter. This church was
Immigration to America is often a decision made in order to discover a better life for a family or individual. America’s founding ideals are usually what compel foreigners to move to the US. The stories of America being the “Land of Opportunity” have continued to persuade people to immigrate. Although immigration in the 20th century is much different from recent immigration, the underlying reasons for moving to the US are usually quite similar.

Additionally, the author says that migration to the US is not random, but it is the result of both international structures of inequality and the international reputation of America as “the first among equals.” Lastly, Rana gives his ideal situation regarding equality and inclusion, and foreign intervention. He portrays a country that does not view social groups as instruments, both inside and outside the borders, and where political and economic hierarchies are

Regional migration is main type of immigration seen because it allows people to move across borders to nearby countries with the purpose to find work or other amenities not offered in their former communities. This effect in large numbers can result to a deteriorating effect in their homeland. If conditions in peoples community have become so inhabitable families will chose to migrate to countries with an increase in jobs and goods, this is defined as a rural-to-urban migration (Payne 2015). Gibler reported in his essay that many remaining people in Zacatecas have nearly no family left in Mexico (Gibler 2008).
