After taking two years of calculus and traveling to Tanzania with globalbike to deliver bikes to women in rural villages, I have realized how much I love math and how much I would love to utilize my math and science skills to aid third world countries. I have recently been struggling to find a job/major that incorporates aspects of both engineering and medicine on a global level. Until I discovered the Perry Initiative I did not think this was possible. A Job in orthopedics appears to fit my interests perfectly. I would like to attend the Perry Outreach Program to learn more about orthopedics and the influence it has on society; the hands on activities this program provides would be exceptionally beneficial in presenting me with an overview of orthopedics and bio-mechanical engineering. I believe that there is no better way to learn about my interests than participating in hands-on experiments, which is exactly what the Perry Outreach Program provides. Even though this program is only one day, it would provide me with the same opportunity I was given this summer—further assisting me in finding the career path that best fits my many
I want to be a part of Keiser University's Physician Assistant Program because it is one of the best in South Florida. I agree with its mission statements and goals. This 24-month curriculum will allow me to reach my goal of pursuing my career as a Physician Assistant, sooner than most programs. It is centrally located so that most students have a minimum commute of 15-20 minutes. I am impressed by Keiser's excellent reputation of job placement among graduating PA students. According to present students, this school has a low professor to student ratio. I am eager to participate in this type of learning environment. Also, I am happy to see that the PANCE rate has been improving as the program strives to prepare students for the national certification

In 2014, I received the honor of obtaining the opportunity to enroll in a university level dental course at Virginia Commonwealth University. I procured the privilege to work and shadow alongside the fourth-year dental students that were practicing their newly established techniques on patients of various socioeconomic backgrounds. This marked the beginning of two of my current aspirations: becoming an orthodontist with my own practice and becoming a certified sign language interpreter to incorporate Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals into our society. By 2021, I plan to complete my undergraduate career by whatever means necessary; graduating with my requirements for dental school completed and with a minor in American Sign Language.
