Time Management Strategies

Time management has been one of the greatest hurdles of my scholastic career. Sadly it improves gradually. Procrastination was the name of the game for me for a while. Needless to say, I had poor time management skills. I would often wonder why I would let myself do this almost every time I had to do something. I didn’t like the trend I was in and I needed another way to get things done. Then I realized that being a procrastinator only hindered my potential of becoming the student I knew I could be. So with a little more discipline I am able to do my work to the best of my ability. I have taken some classes in the past that dealt with this subject. So all the tricks of the trade were imprinted into my brain.

Another big factor in being a better time manager is to realize where you are wasting time. If you can figure out where all your time is going then you can focus on what you can do to improve your ability to seize the day! Finding your faults in the lack of time efficiency is the first step in becoming a brilliant time manager and a productive person. I have found some interesting tips and models showing what other people use or do to improve their time management. Most tips were repetitive but very useful. What I am going to do is name off ten tips from the five sources that I have narrowed down to use in my research. All of these tips are not in any sort of order of importance. Number one is probably my favorite time management tool. Number one is implement a time management plan. “The objective is to change your behaviors over time to achieve whatever general goal you've set for yourself, such as increasing your productivity or decreasing your stress. So you need to not only set your specific goals, but track them over time to see whether or not you're accomplishing them.1” This is such good reasoning. This one goes after the source, your own daily behaviors. Once you have your plan in place, it is time to implement that plan. If you are not used to planning things out then you need to do some
