Tips For Persuasive Speech

During my persuasive speech, I used an attention getter with a story to put a face on the problem of the 5-day work week because it is something for the audience to get attached to. In my attention getter, Jeff Campbell suffers from a stroke from working long hours as an accountant. I believe it was effective in showing pathos to the problem of the 5-day work week. In my thesis, I clearly stated the topic and related it to my audience by telling them that it will affect all full-time employees in America. To conclude my introduction, I gave a preview of the what I was going to talk about during my speech, which included the problems, causes, and solutions.

I am sure that everyone of you have heard about aliens and UFOs. Indeed, we all have heard about the famous case of aliens and UFOs in Roswell, New Mexico. Have you served in a war? Has your father or mother served in a war? How about your grandpa? As we honor those who have served we typically do so by standing for the pledge of allegiance or star spangled banner. We say thank you to our war heroes or we go and visit them and listen to their stories. In this paper I will be discussing why NFL players should not be allowed to kneel for the flag. Students at Palmyra Area High School should not be allowed to display information supporting the display of the Confederate Flag in the atrium. The flag is seen as a controversial symbol, and can allow disruption to happen throughout the school. Supporting the flag is seen as a something throughout heritage, however, the flag can also be seen as racist. Throughout school hours, the school has the privilege to monitor the student's free speech, attempting to make the school a place that all the students want to be.

Very early on when I was growing up, my parents would push me to do better in school and at my baseball games. For me going to school and practice keep on getting repetitive so as a young kid, I did what anyone would do, I started getting lazy and started to slack off. My fellow Huaorani we are facing a mass extinction. If we don’t act soon the tradition we have set up will disappear completely. The oil companies are trying to take over the ground beneath us because there is oil. They will stop at nothing to continue to make a profit and will show no mercy to us doing so.
