Would you like to see the Titanic in a museum? I think we should put the Titanic in a museum. Here are some reasons why I think we should. It would be a huge history lesson for the people that visit the museum. The families who had family die in the sinking could get some of their family members belongings back. I think the Titanic should be preserved, because of it's history it would bring the generation that pulls it up. People could learn so much from it. It is one of the most historical things that has happened besides a war. Schools could take their kids on field trips to the museum. I think we should preserve the Titanic, because it would bring in people to where the museum will be. When people come to
- Booking passage on perhaps the most famous ship in history, the HMS Titanic sails once again for visitors. At the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge, interactive experiences pay homage to the Grand Staircase design, encourage trips to the captain's bridge and provide a real life iceberg for the family to touch.
Instead of trying to defend and preserve something that was clearly one of our ugliest moments in history, we should demolish the statues. The statues serve as a reminder that slavery was once okay and that isn’t something people should have to think about when they enter a park or a college campus. It won’t erase the history of it or cause us to forget what happened in the past because we know what happened and it is strongly ingrained into us at this point. However, the removal of the statues and monuments would be a step forward for equality and peace which is what we
After careful consideration I have decided that Confederate monuments should not be aloud in public places. These monuments stand for things that our country doesn’t. I think even if we take down the monuments that we will never forget our history. I still think that we should keep some monuments ,but in museums and for learning because we need to teach children about our past so they
Another view is from CNN. They have a good point, it should not be flown because of the controversy it creates, but it should not be forgotten. “"Personally, I have believed for years it needed to be in a museum," Brannon told CNN's Poppy Harlow. "I apologize to the people of South Carolina. I've been in the House for five years. I should have introduced this bill five years ago." (Catherine E. Shoichet, Ashley Fantz and Holly Yan, CNN, June
Some confederate monuments should stay up, they are a historical symbol. Conflict is starting to break in cities and towns are arguing to keep or get rid of these statues. If we take the monuments down we might lose memory the victories or defeats the statue stands for. Just imagine, if a statute of you was being taken down, but the reason was because your
Relevance Statement: (Many of you have probably heard of the Titanic or even seen the movie but there is so many more details and facts that people are unaware of.)
In 1884 the J. S. Seaverns freighter sank and after 132 years it was found. The freighter sank in Canada near Michipicoten Harbor, Ontario. This summer a five-man team located it. It was discovered along with piles of unbroken dishes which is strange how nothing was broken after 132 years of being underwater after sunken. There were also other various amounts of other century-old items. The Dutch Tribune News reported the found items last week. Dan Fountain was the guy that helped find those items last week reported them as being “in beautiful shape.” It is hard to believe that the sunken ship was found along with many items inside it and it being untouched and undisturbed. The upper cabins of the sunken ship however were somewhat broken up
All those deaths left behind them mourning family members who demand that wrecks be left as undisturbed graves. An experienced diver once claimed that hunting through a shipwreck was like walking through a haunted house. You can sense the presence of those who sank with the ship and have nothing to identify their lost remains. This is why the shipwreck are primarily their graveyard and not a place for treasure hunts. They should be left in peace. Ships like the Nuestra Senora de la Mercedes which sank near the coast of Tampa bay, killing over 200 crews members, should be protected by some regulation. For the respect of those who died serving their country, even if the ship contains half a billion dollars worth of sunken treasure.
The Titanic was also in water. Another thing is that the Titanic sunk. These are some facts about the Titanic.
The Titanic may be one of the most famous and well known shipwrecks of our time. Just about everyone learns of the tragedy in school and how it was a complete accident. Information has been found that point to the tragedy not being what we think it is. There is evidence that shows that the ship thought to be the Titanic may actually be named the Olympic, and may have been used in an insurance scam. This evidence includes pictures showing different amounts of port holes and even people working on the ship coming forward. It has yet to be proven if this is 100% true, but most would agree that all of this points to it being true.
I strongly believe that donors, honorees and memorials in the old books should be continued in some fashion. It is disrespectful to just cast these important memories and honors into the trash.
If you found the Titanic would you take it out of the ocean and disrupt the peace or would you leave it. I beileve that the Titanic shouldn't be preserved. Many people's remains have been found and I wouldn't mess with it. The danger of messing with the ship on the way up could be detrimental. The cost would be great if the ship were to have broken in half.
Have you ever thought about bring the Titanic up? I think the titanic should be left down there. I think it would be disrespectful because it is like a grave site. I believe it would cost a lot because the gas for the machines. I also believe it would collapse because it has been down for over 100 years decaying.
I would recommend a response team of some sort where they make it a task to remove, if possible, all of the items located in the museum. I am certain that is will be a difficult task to accomplish, but with the right set of individuals whom are backed by well known financial partners it can be accomplish. Unfortunately, the 2003 war didn't have individual soldiers like those portray in the movie, The Monument Men, to save historical and culturally significant monuments. Therefore, we sadly have to accept that government officials are not as reliable as before, so it will have to take the willingness of individuals who care a lot to help with the cause of saving historical artifacts in order to preserve these great monuments, arts, and archives
From the disaster to the movie, the sinking of the Titanic remains one of the most famous tragedies in history.
