Titusville Fire Department Case Study

Satisfactory Essays

NASA firefighters and the Titusville Fire Department each have been given an artifact from the World Trade Center to display to visitors. Both beams are currently en route to Brevard County and will help to honor those who were victims of the 9/11 attacks. Transport Workers Union leaders and NASA firefighters flew up to New York City earlier this week to acquire the beam, which weighs 2,000 pounds, from the Twin Towers. The steel beam that was given to NASA was flown down on Thursday from New York City to Miami. The beam was then driven by NASA firefighters and a motorcade from Miami to the fire station at Kennedy Space Center. The Titusville Fire Department is receiving a 500-pound steel girder, which was originally from the North Tower.
