“T-Boz”, “Left Eye”, and “Chilli” were all born in the 1970s. “Chilli” was born on February 27th, 1971. “T-Boz” was born on April 26th, 1970. And “Left Eye” was born on May 27th, 1971. “Left Eye’s” real name is Lisa Nicole Lopes. “Chill’s” real name is Rozonda Ocelean Thomas. And, “T-Boz’s” real name is Tionne Tenese Watkins. All of them grew up in poor homes in urban areas. “Left Eye” was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. “T-Boz” was born in Des Moines, Iowa. “T-Boz” has suffered from a sickness called anemia ever since she was young. Her family moved to Atlanta when she was 9. She had a job as a hairdresser in Atlanta at 21 before getting accepted into ‘TLC’. (2)

Before ‘TLC’ there was ‘2nd Nature’. ‘2nd Nature’ was a group that had Crystal Jones “T-Boz” and “Left Eye”. ‘2nd Nature’ started in 1990 but unfortunately, Crystal was kicked out for bad vocals. They decided to find a third member. Then, Rozonda got it and that’s how ‘TLC’ started. Do you know that ‘TLC’ stands for their “names”, “T-Boz”, “Left Eye”, and “Chilli”? “Left Eye” was the rapper of ‘TLC’ because of her crazy personality. “T-Boz“ was one of the singers and was the cool and chill one of ‘TLC’ and “Chilli” was the other singer of the group and was the sexy one of the group.
I interviewed a beautiful and courageous woman, of African descent. Born and raised in Monrovia, Liberia on May 20, 1969. In addition, she has one biological brother and three step siblings. Currently she resides in Loganville, Georgia, where she lives with her two children. By the same token, she and her husband been married for twenty-one years to her loving high school sweetheart husband. Due to unfortunate circumstances, she lost her husband in the line of duty. Causing her to become a widow, continuing to survive life without her husband. When I conducted this interview, had one topic in mind that I wanted to learn more about her life as an immigrant and how did influence her life.
All she has done is “learned about Montezuma and the Aztecs in sixth grade” (Raya 121). In terms of her physical features, Raya doesn’t “even look Latina” (Raya 121). There have been countless times where “people have just assumed that I’m white or asked me if I’m Asian”. More importantly, “I never thought I would wish my skin were darker shade or my hair a curlier texture” (Raya 121). However, due to the social norms that her college categorizes in order to be considered Latina she has “many times” (Raya 121).
Steven Adam Markowitz, now known as Hoodie Allen was born on August 19th, 1988 and raised in a Jewish household along with his younger brother Daniel*DAMMMMNNNNN DANIEL*, on Long Island, NY. Armando Christian Perez, otherwise known as Pitbull, was born in Miami, Florida on January 14, 1981. At a young age his parents divorced and he was raised by his mother until she found out about his drug dealing business. Once his secret was revealed his mother placed him in the foster system and he then grew up with a family in Roswell, Georgia. He went to school at Coral Park High School, where he graduated and made the tough decision to not continue on to college. Pitbull persued his rapping dreams until he was noticed by a famous rapper and from there his career really began. Pitbull is most prominent for his rapping, but he has also played parts in many movies and has developed his own school.
Marshall says that they survived just on welfare checks and money from lawsuits that she dreamed up and sometimes got lucky and got money for things she claims that company’s or someone have done/said. There´s evidence to support Marshall´s claims of his mother´s history, there are some papers of cases where she has tried to sue a plethora of people and organizations over minor incidents. A few years later in 2001 she tried to sue her son for defamation of character. She claims that her lawyer had it as an option and that he did it without her permission, and that she did not intend to sue her son. Marshall also has a younger brother, Nathan Mathers that´s today a small rapper, going by the name Nate Kane. Marshall has claimed that he practically raised Nathan himself and that his mother would abuse his little brother and constantly pretending he was ill. This has been confirmed by the fact that Deborah was diagnosed with Münchausen syndrome and had Nathan taken from her by social services. Though it was hard to decide on which these women carried the best story, because many of their stories carried the weight of a great-lived history. However, Sonia’s story, her history resonated brighter and glowed with a greater depth.
