Causes and Symptoms
You may develop TMJ due to the following reasons:
• Inherited structural or positional flaw in the jaws
• External impact – like a blow to the head that jolts the joint out of position
• Misalignment of teeth – also known as dental malocclusion
• Prolonged teeth grinding and clenching that exerts pressure on the joint area and wears down the cartilage pad
Some of the common symptoms are:
• Severe headaches
• Worn down teeth
• Tingling sensation in fingers
• Locked jaw
• Ear aches
• Swelling or tenderness around jaw joint
• Pain in the jaw joints, neck or shoulder areas
• Ringing in the ears
Hi Micquaya. When I think of mental health itself, I do not automatically think of people that are suffering from a psychological issue. Mental health to me is just your psychological status. Mental illness causes me to think a psychological issue. The two are not the same in my eyes. Mental health is just as important as physical health. Physical health is just the status but if I were to say a physical disability it is completely different. The ways to promote good mental health are numerous. Taking care of your body is definitely a good way. Many times our mental status is directly related to our physical health. I know for me, it is hard to think clear when I do not get enough sleep.
“How JROTC has prepared me to be a better citizen of the United states of America”. JROTC has prepared me to become a better citizen by teaching me how to use leadership skills and be able to cope with subordinates. It also has prepared me to be a better citizen by showing me what the 7 army values are and what they mean. Some of the army values are respect, honor, integrity, and personal courage. JROTC has showed me how to do things different from the way I thought things should be done and how to march and be able to keep a company and platoon together when marching. Since I know a lot about the JROTC I am able to help other people become better citizens like I was taught. I am also a better citizen because i have the discipline not to do certain things that I did before I took the JROTC class.
The GCJ's motivation is to control the world. Their intent has always been to influence individuals in positions of power and authority. They seek contact, but only with certain individuals and corporations. They have the power to make these contacts and have the power of persuasion.
sudden jolt or bashing to the head. Concussions can also be caused by falling and hitting
JROTC, also known as Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, is a program that is offered in high school, which gives students an introduction to the U.S. Army. The main mission of this program is to motivate young people to become better citizens. This program teaches self-discipline, confidence, and pride in a job well done. It offers many challenges and opportunities which is surely able to increase one’s life skills and leadership skills, such as sharpening your communication skills, strengthen your self-esteem, and improving your physical fitness. Throughout its century-long history, multiple things had changed, while other things stayed the same, but the ROTC program will continue to remain as a promising existence for years to come.

Interviews are set to happen for Monday next week. The questions that will be asked are 1. In what ways do you make parents, students, and coaches aware of TBI? 2. How do you know when an athlete has TBI? 3. In your own words, can you explain what TBI is? 4. Why should people be aware of TBI? 5. If you had an unlimited budget to tell parents, athletes, and athletes about TBI, how would you explain it to them and why? 6. Do you feel it is important for the coaches and parents to be educated on TBI and why? The journals talk about long term effects and how TBI occur in collegiate athletes and high school but more commonly in collegiate athletes. Some journals discussed the rehabilitation for concussions and how athletic trainers plat key roles
A direct blow to the head, such as from running into another player during a game, being hit in a fight, or falling and hitting the head on a hard surface.
In order to understand the origin of concussions, one must first understand how the head is affected by contact forces. When the head strikes or is struck by an object, both contact and inertial forces are applied to head (Meaney). These forces can cause injury to the brain both in close proximity to the impact zone or at more distant points. Focal forces are related to head injuries such as skull fractures and can cause stress waves that cause fractures at a distance from the impact zone where the skull has reduces structural properties. The primary cause of concussive injuries is large acceleration of the brain due to inertial forces. Due to how the head moves, the head undergoes both linear and rotational acceleration during impact. It has been found that linear accelerations correspond to increased pressure within the brain. This increased pressures causes neurologic dysfunction. The rotational acceleration component of impact is caused by rapid head rotations. These accelerations create shear forces in the brain . Further studies have shown that brain tissue deforms more severely in response to shear forces (Arash). Shear deformation caused by rotational acceleration is widely accepted as the primary mechanism in concussive injury.
Hi Teagen! I agree with the idea that the expansion of suffrage to non-propertied white males in the 1820s and 1830s was an advancement in American political life. I found in the book that through the westward expansion, most of the new states in America allowed all white males to vote at the age of 21 (Faragher, 258). Also before 1800 only white males that owned property or were taxpayers could vote in most of the original thirteen states (Faragher, 257). This was important because it led to the presidential electors and governors to be elected by a direct vote of men from all classes, rather than by small groups of state legislators (Faragher, 258). I agree that this lead to delaying suffrage of white women and African Americans. This contradicts
Common causes include sports injuries, bicycle accidents, car accidents, and falls, the latter two being the most frequent causes among adults.[3] In addition to a blow to the head, concussion may be caused by acceleration forces without a direct impact, and on the battlefield, MTBI is a potential consequence of nearby explosions.[4] It is not clear exactly what damage is done and how the symptoms are caused, but stretching of axons and changes in ion
The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, UBCJA, is a labor union that advocates for worker rights. Founded in 1881, Peter J. McGuire and Gustav created the union in response to the lack of worker right laws in place. Since then, the union has grown substantially in size but still, lobbies for workers’ rights. The union lobbies for issues on a regional and national level. They have endorsed and contributed finically to presidential candidates. They have also endorsed and contributed finically to congressional candidates across party lines who they believe will help fight for worker rights. The union also provides several services to its members such as training, a pension fund, and welfare. The UBCJA has long fought for workers
I am currently a 3rd year nursing student at Ryerson University and have recently become extremely interested in physiotherapy. This summer, I had the amazing opportunity to work with the University Health Network as a Patient Observer, where I was able to discuss with many physiotherapists about the nature of their jobs. Every physiotherapist spoke with the utmost positivity when discussing their position even after numerous years of practice. This inspired me to pursue my goal of becoming a physiotherapist in the future as it is something I am very passionate about.
Great Britain started the Ind Rev with their great accessible deposits of coal and iron, secured island with political stability, its large colonial market, and its' well-developed transportation network of rivers and canal. Canals played an important role in connecting regions within England, allowed a more efficient and cheaper way in transportation. Also, plethora of inventions such as steam engine in 1760s, cotton gin, flying shuttle, and public railways in 1825 were made due to the fact that the society was open talents, allowing inventors to express their work. As the booming economy continued to rise, the population doubled which led to a higher demand for food, resources, and goods. Bank of England was established in 1694 to managed
In the United States, starting salaries for teachers who have completed a four-year degree are far lower compared to many other professions, which also require a four-year degree. In most states, teachers must undergo testing and other rigorous certification requirements, but they are given the same consideration or status as beginning professionals in other areas. Although attractive incentives are offered, the compensation does not compare to the long hours of work and schooling required for a teaching career.
