Have you ever wondered which body system helps bring oxygenated and deoxygenated blood to the heart? Well that system is called the Circulatory System or the Cardiovascular System. Have you ever wondered which body system helps bring air into the lungs? That system is called the Respiratory system. You are probably wondering why I am mentioning the Respiratory and Circulatory system? The functions of the Respiratory system is to supply the blood with oxygen in order for the blood to deliver oxygen to all parts of the body. The Respiratory system is also used for the of exchange gases. The importance of the Respiratory system is that it allows for the exchange of gases; meaning carbon dioxide and oxygen.
