Today is the day we have all dreamed about, sat around for many late nights wondering when this time would come. Today we leave behind The University of South Florida community and start our ever-long journey, our miraculous journey into the start of our careers and futures. We have become a tight-knit family together, sharing laughs, tears, and memories. As a student you were asked to learn, calculate, and memorize hundreds of facts and concepts for test and quizzes during all your academic years. And although we can almost feel those diplomas at our fingertips, I have one final story for you, and don’t worry there won’t be a quiz at the end. With time and many new encounters along the way he truly knew what is felt like to love when placed into the arms of four-year old Sarah Ruth, whom later dies. In our time at The University of South Florida each and every single one of us experienced love. Love into our professions, from the arts to the sciences. We explored and experienced new places, and new faces from classroom to classroom, study abroad, and internships. Each one along the way built a pathway to where we are now. Like Edward our lives are about to change and we will begin to love deeper through every encounter and experience from now on. Hope, we hope that we will succeed, I hope that we all do. We hope we will find that awesome new job with our name written all over it. But alongside of hope comes having patience. Many of us are going to have to wait for that time to come, as Edward did later being placed on the shelf of a doll store. However, Edward closed his heart off to love, as it was too painful and waiting became hard. Today, I want to tell you all to never lose your hope. Don’t let the disappointments close your heart out of the love you have found here, the love that countless professors have poured into you, and the love you shared between classmates, and some now life-long friends. I want to conclude on one last thing and that is sacrifice. All of us had to sacrifice something to be where we
