Unfortunately, his NFL career was an average one where he played as a backup for six years. Still, even getting to the NFL was a great achievement. He did not start much, and he had very low stats unlike his college career. This was due to the extreme competition in the NFL. In college, he finished with a 31-14-1 record as a starter (“Tommy Hodson”). He still holds LSU’s career records for yards passing, touchdown passes, completions, and attempts. Considered perhaps the best quarterback in LSU’s history, he was also a threat to run the ball when receivers were covered (Hilburn

Introduction: Throughout the book of Into The Wild Chris McCandless is known to be a wacko reckless idiot, and is also known to be courageous and heroic. However does a courageous person go out into the wilderness knowing that the outcome will be fatal? People viewed him from different perspectives and also have broad range of opinions of this young man. Some deemed him to be incredibly dim-witted or a man that simply just followed his heart. Evidence shows that Chris McCandless is actually a mix of both. The first opinion that described McCandless was brainless, idiotic, and extremely foolish. Many passages from Into The Wild can support this outlook.
Tom Brady rose to stardom quickly, but he was once an underdog. Starting off his football career, Tom Brady was unwanted and did not get any playing time in college. First he red-shirted his first year at the University
Imagine a world where an oppressive government captures what many call diversity. Where ugly is known as beauty and intelligence is insignificant. “They weren't only equal before God and the law. They were equal every which way. Nobody was smarter than anybody else. Nobody was better looking than anybody else. Nobody was stronger or quicker than anybody else.” (Vonnegut) This is the future that Harrison experiences, in the short story “Harrison Bergeron,” by Kurt Vonnegut. It is the year 2081 and the government handicaps every citizen with make up or weights to create equality. Where there are over than 200 amendments and the government has full control of all citizens, this is indeed against what America had been
In the novel The Grapes of Wrath, John Steinbeck delves deep into each character thoroughly. Throughout the book, Steinbeck uses intricate descriptions in order to depict the development and subtleties of each character. Each character has a unique personality that essentially develops into new qualities and attributes. Such development is seen in many characters throughout the book, including Rose of Sharon. She is seen as immature at the start of the book, but by the end, she quickly learns to take the world into account and grows to become less selfish. This is only one of the substantial growths in character can be seen in the characters of this novel. One of the many characters in this novel that greatly
He even has awards named after him. When Payton was enrolled at Jackson State he won multiple awards like Black College Player of the year award two times. He was also selected to the All-American team his freshman year. His senior season he finished 3rd in the heisman voting (best college football player in division 1). The most outstanding quality about Pat Tillman, was his strong work ethic. He never gave up. If he felt exhausted at the end of a football practice, that didn’t matter to him. After a hard practice, most kids would go straight home and take a cold shower; but not ole Tillman. He would stay after practice and keep practicing or run an extra mile, just to push himself to becoming a better athlete. He also proved this through the way he set his goals. He told himself he was
Tom Brady's first year in the NFL was not fun. He was only able to play one game due to the fact that the quarterback position was filled. The next season would be a different story due to the fact that Drew Bledsoe the starting quarterback for the New England Patriots went down with an injury. Tom Brady silenced the doubters with 11 wins and 3 losses. That year Tom Brady took the Patriots to the Super Bowl against the St Louis Rams and won.
There are very few people (those few being Alabama fans) who will not call Deshaun Watson one of the best College quarterbacks of the decade. When we look at the way he played against Alabama in the Championship game, especially in the fourth quarter when he let the Tigers to a stunning win, all of his stats point to the NFL. But, so did Tim Tebow, Mr. Football Johnny Manziel, and Vince Young.

Sports are a significant part of society and spectators enjoy particular events regardless of the type. However, there are many players who develop special working and social relationships with whom they are participating regardless of the type of sport. The relationship and how people interact with one another can be the determination of how successful a team can be. The particular film based on a true story that I chose is titled When the Game Stands Tall. This film consists of a high performing football team of De La Salle High School in the state of California. Jim Caviezel portrays the head coach (Bob Ladouceur) as a man with such vision and passion that goes beyond the fundamental principles of coaching the game of football. The football team had won 151 games without being defeated which is the highest winning record a team has had in the game of football. The film shows the internal struggles of the players in their lives as people, and how they perform on the field. It also shows the external tragic difficulties that they face while they attend and play for De Le Salle High School. In the movie, the head coach helps the students/players by not only coaching them but also showing them how to live a flourishing life by committing to endure difficult life situations and the way to overcome them. He helps teach the principles of brotherhood and companionship with the team that they build. In the movie, the head coach and the staff had taught the players

A British soldier is expected to stand firm, with a non-wavering heart as the enemy approaches. They are to protect the Queen and her beliefs at all costs. A gentleman and a fighter, that is a soldier of the Queen’s army. They expect to return home to the people of the United Kingdom’s praise and respect after their conquests, however they were met with mistreatment and sometimes scorn during the year of 1892. On the surface, Tommy is a representation of the juxtaposition of how war is seen by those that are being protected, but this creative piece is an example of what it is like when the people of a country respect the toils of war but not the soldier.
