Red Dawn “vs” Tomorrow When the War Began Personally, I believe that Red Dawn was a better movie than Tomorrow When the War Began. This is because Red Dawn was so much more immersive, had a bigger budget and overall had a better storyline. Tomorrow When the War Began was basically just a movie to skip a few lessons. Red Dawn was so much exciting and immersive than Tomorrow When the War Began. Rather than hiding in the bush the whole movie the Red Dawn characters would actually plan “terror attacks” against the invading forces (North Korea). The “Wolverines” would also blend into the crowds and gain Intel on the newcomers while still remaining undercover. A great example of this is at the public speaking event where the North Koreans are talking to the people, while doing so the Wolverines are setting up explosives to sabotage the event and get back at the invaders. All while not causing suspicion amongst the group. Secondly, I believe that Red Dawn was a better movie simply because of the greater budget. In Red Dawn you could really see the group get used to being together constantly and also building as characters. You could tell from the start that majority of the group had never handled if not seen a gun before. Throughout the whole movie you could see the teenagers really get a grip for the new life they may have to live for a while as they really got comfortable around guns and also handling the guns. You could see the group build on moving around quick and silently. Another thing I noticed was that they used North Korea as the invading forces, unlike Tomorrow When the War Began the action started literally 5 minutes into the movie and kept the action nice and consistent right through the movie. An example of this is from the very start where you see the North Koreans parachuting down into the city of Spokane, Washington,
