The Power of Hope Does the world have a stronger emotion than hope? Hope is a powerful emotion. It can change anything from cures to wars, hope starts change. Hope connects to Quite Strength because Tony Dungy uses hope in God to be a good guide. A quote is, "You profess to be a Christian, and tell everybody that God has first in your life" (Dungy 50). Hope is the most powerful emotion because it can heal any physical or mental wound, giving up hope means giving up everything and hope can turn any bad situation into a good one. Life is full of emotions, whether it be happy or sad. It is what keeps everyone going.
It is human nature that every day we are forced to overcome an obstacle, an obstacle that we may see as a failure. It is the lesson that we take away from that failure that contributes to our success as individuals. Our success stems from our willingness to overcome failure. One quote that helps to reinforce this idea comes from Vince Lombardi who said, “The difference between a successful person and others is not the lack of strength, lack of knowledge, but the lack of will.” After facing a tough loss early in the season, the Middletown Lions football team had to rally and overcome our failures to get back on track for a successful season.
Humans are a void capable of many different emotions like happiness, sadness, anger, and fear. These emotions are what lead your way into the world and give you life. Emotions are the way that people see you, and the way you see people. They are the way you conquer life. Different people conquer life with different emotions like (with) confidence, aggressiveness, and with sadness(with touch of anger).
Hope creates possibilities. Because when your positive around you it spreads hope. For instance, In the book Fever 1793, the character Eliza spreads hope to Mattie. Eliza says that everything will be okay and things will get better and then at bush hill Eliza works with the sick people at bush hill who have the fever. But Eliza has to take care of the kids, so Mattie does that for
Since the invention of nuclear weapons, they have presented the world with a significant danger, one that was shown in reality during the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. However, nuclear weapons have not only served in combat, but they have also played a role in keeping the world peaceful by the concept of deterrence. The usage of nuclear weapons would lead to mutual destruction and during the Cold War, nuclear weapons were necessary to maintain international security, as a means of deterrence. However, by the end of the Cold War, reliance on nuclear weapons for maintaining peace became increasingly difficult and less effective (Shultz, et. al, 2007). The development of technology has also provided increasing opportunities for states
Defining hope can be equivocal and yet it is commonly associated with a particular experience. Hope reflects an individuals moral values, it is required for human survival; hope is often needed when there is a sense of uncertainty for the future (Tanis & DiNapoli, 2008). In healthcare, hope is described as one of the most important concepts associated with spirituality; without it everything else seems to loose its value. Therefore, hope instigates positive adjustment during the dynamic process of recovery (Tutton, Seers, & Langstaff, 2009).
According to Morse et al. (2006), “A deeper understanding of hope is tested based on the work and place in the theoretical framework and nursing context.” Several authors, in different studies within the nursing domain,
An example of how hope can affect a nation is the Christchurch earthquakes in New Zealand. IN September 2010 Christchurch was struck by a strong earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale, leaving thousands of residents with injuries, without homes and hundreds of casualties. These people demonstrated hope, as although the region is still recovering and receiving numerous after shocks weekly, they still are remaining positive and hopeful. As a consequence of the people of Christchurch’s hope, people all around the world and New Zealand are wiling to give aid to e people affected by the earthquakes . Also because of Christchurch residents hope that the earthquakes will stop, the majority of them have chosen to stay in the region and help recover their city. With hope comes positivity. Although the people of Christchurch have been affected terribly by the earthquakes they are still positive because of their hope. This shows how hope can be a good and important thing for nations today to have.
“Hope : hōp/ noun-a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen”(google.com). Often times hope is seen as a good thing. It brings people desire, aspiration, ambition, expectation; it makes people wish for a better future. However, hope can be a force of destruction, pain and misery. It can be used as a weapon against people who only have dreams of something better.
but so that they reach above and beyond even their own expectations. It is evident that these goals directly impact a person's decision making process. Hope is an crucial emotion in the development of one's decision, but fear is an equally important emotion in most
Why is hope important? Having hope allows people to accomplish their goals and problems with a good and strong mindset that will set them up for success. This will increase their chances of actually accomplishing their goals. With hope being one of the most important traits in positive people, everyone would always be negative all the time. Having a positive attitude, and having hope, is beneficial to a person’s mental health because they are able to face the worst situations with a positive attitude. As told by the poem “Invictus” by William Ernest Henly, although there are times when many people feel hopeless and lost, it is important to always suppress those feelings and replace them with hope. Without hope, there would be no reason to continue living life as it is.
Hope creates a God’s presence and help us persevere in difficult situations. This allows us to channel hope to patients and that they are not alone, God will always be there for them. Patients who lose hope tend to be self-destructive and have no goals in life, this can be detrimental to patient health recover.
