Tornadoes are usually called twister. Tornadoes are column of air that have strong winds. They are formed by thunderstorms. The warm and moist air comes from the Gulf of Mexico and the cool air comes from Canada. The cold air lifts up the warm air which makes a routing direction. Then it makes a funnel cloud. After that the funnel cloud touches the ground and a tornado is formed. Tornados are found in North America, South America, Europe, Australia, Africa, and Asia. In the United States, there is an area that is called Tornado Alley. That includes Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota.
