After completing each category I felt as if I had a better understand of what wellness is.Therefore, in the beginning of this questionnaire, I scored myself a 5 out of 10, because in most categories I remained average. After taking the wellness inventory survey, my three weakest aspects of wellness seem to be emotional wellness, spiritual wellness, and communal wellness. However, I don’t feel as though I am lacking in these areas. Emotionally, I have outlets through my friends and dance to express what I’m feeling and deal with it. I am not that emotional of a person, and I do not feel as though I struggle much with this. Second, I am definitely not a spiritual person in any capacity, so that would attribute to my low spiritual wellness score. I do feel happy with where I am at in life, and I respect others’ beliefs and values. Lastly, I do help out in the community through tutoring and mentoring, so I do not feel like I lack communal wellness.

Health perceptions (or perceived health status) are subjective ratings by the affected individual of his or her health status. Some people perceive themselves as healthy despite suffering from one or more chronic diseases, while others perceive themselves as ill when no objective evidence of disease can be found. Individuals' self-assessment of their health may include aspects that are
There are six separate and distinct categories when defining one’s wellness. Those stages are physical, social, vocational, environmental, psychological, and spiritual. Without one the other could not exist. Physical wellness includes being physically fit, eating nutritiously, and getting adequate sleep. I consider myself to be doing well in this category. I always am in bed before midnight, and exercise at least four to five times in a week. I consider my diet to be the one thing lacking when looking deeper into my physical well-being. Social wellness means having satisfying, trusting relationships and interacting well with others. I feel that this is also a strong part of my total wellness. I feel confident as well as excited to meet new people here at Cornerstone everyday. Vocational wellness is finding meaning in and satisfaction with your school, job, and leisure pursuits.
