The Toyota Camry is America’s best-selling sedan, noted for its roomy interior and excellent reliability. This five-passenger, front-wheel drive sedan also offers sporty styling, available leather seats, and technology options. Introduced in 2012, the seventh-generation Toyota Camry is sold in four grades: L, LE, SE, and XLE. A four-cylinder engine is standard; a V6 is optional. Also available, but marketed separately is a Camry Hybrid. Following a complete overhaul in 2012, changes for 2013 involved mostly modest interior design and comfort updates. A 60/40 split fold-down second-row bench seat supplies access to the trunk and its 15.4 cubic feet of cargo space. The cabin is quiet and relatively isolated from road noise. Unlike the enclosed cockpit feel of models such as the Kia Optima, the Camry is more open, making it feel more spacious. Standard equipment includes power windows and door locks, a manual tilt and telescopic steering column, air conditioning, a lockable illuminated glove box, four cup holders, and six in-door bottle holders. Optional features include keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, power front seats, heated front seats, rear reading lamps, and a power moonroof. Performance Two powertrain choices are available with the 2013 Camry. A 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 178 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque is standard. This engine comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and delivers an EPA-estimated 25/35 mpg city/highway. Also available is a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 268 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque. The V6 comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with sequential manual shift mode. As equipped, these vehicles make an EPA-estimated 21/31 mpg city/highway.
