Traditional vs. Online classes Online classes are exceedingly becoming popular in today’s education system. According to an article by the University of Potomac, 77% of educators in the U.S. believe online classes are just as good as traditional classes. Some instructors and busy students could view online classes as a better choice because of how they benefit them; however, I believe it’s important to consider the students who want to accommodate themselves in traditional classes. Each student has their own way of learning, whether it be online or traditional classes, to each their own. It’s great that more options are being offered to students on how they want to be instructed, but I believe it should never get to the point where online classes dominate and begin to replace the traditional face to face teaching method. Traditional classes are by far the better choice because students get to interact more with their classmates, participate in effective discussions, and avoid confusion. Interaction amongst students in the learning environment is very important. Today in society, technology has been successful at creating walls between individuals. Nowadays people spend so much time playing video games, watching television, and surfing the internet, that they isolate themselves from the world around them.
