Transformation in Stories Authors use transformation in stories to scare people. Some examples are supernatural, the unknown, and death. Some people are also afraid of murders while some afraid of heights but enjoy scary movies. Someone can go from not liking to be scared to enjoy being scared; that is a form of transformation. In the movie Lights Out this demon can only come out when it 's dark. It 's a mixture of what we were afraid of when we were little and what we are afraid of now. Darkness can also remind people of death. The fear of death can tie in with all the fears like supernatural, and the unknown.
