    Film and literature are two media forms that are so closely related, that we often forget there is a distinction between them. We often just view the movie as an extension of the book because most movies are based on novels or short stories. Because we are accustomed to this sequence of production, first the novel, then the motion picture, we often find ourselves making value judgments about a movie, based upon our feelings on the novel. It is this overlapping of the creative processes that prevents us from seeing movies as distinct and separate art forms from the novels they are based on.

Movies have the ability to transport people to different times and places and distract them from ordinary everyday reality. They allow for a range of emotions to be experienced. At their core, movies examine the human condition. There are plenty of deeper truths woven into screenplays and plenty of lessons to be learned, even when an individual is solely seeking entertainment.

Although the best reasons for “going to the movies” are to be entertained and eat popcorn, understanding a film is actually quite complex. Movies are not only a reflection of life, they also have the capability of shaping our norms, values, attitudes, and perception of life. Through the media of film, one can find stories of practically anything imaginable and some things unimaginable. Movie-makers use their art to entertain, to promote political agendas, to educate, and to present life as it is, was, or could be. They can present truth, truth as they interpret it, or simply ignore truth altogether. A movie can be a work of fiction, non-fiction, or anything in-between. A film is an artist’s interpretation. What one takes away from a film depends upon how one interprets what has been seen and heard. Understanding film is indeed difficult.

Analysis of The Film “Clue” Films are great for escapism and social change. They impact society by bringing pleasure into people’s life in an affordable manner through censored entertainment. The censored entertainment allows families to bond socially through interaction of a specific shared experience. A genre of a film is the film which guilds the audience to a specific idea or purpose known as the theme. A films influence society with emotions and social behavior through the message of the theme.

One day after school, Reid just thought it was time to find a lover. So he went on Snapchat, Twitter, and he even tried to get in girls Dm’s on Instagram. But later on that day he found the one. He searched all night finding a girl and he did it. He found a nice Beautiful Blonde, he was in love. He hit her up on Snapchat and Reid asked her out. She said yes, so Reid was very excited. He asked her out on a date tomorrow night, and she said yes. Reid was so excited about tomorrow night he made a reservation at the best restaurant he could find, Red Lobster.

Film can have many different interpretations. It can be taken as simple popcorn entertainment that breaks box office records. Or, it can have a powerful moral or message it wants to convey, and have the audience form their own opinions and thoughts. One film that had an impact on me is the film Blackfish. The film gave me opinions on animal cruelty, corporate corruption, and manipulative marketing. All of which are ruining today's society, and had me questioning about what it means to live in a world where these insufferably cruel acts are taken place in a tourist heavy attraction.

Films and movies hold much than we can guess, they reveal a lot of vices and rots that are happening in society. Others give a history of a particular society, its beliefs, culture and their standard of living in the society. Films are used to disclose the social responsibilities in a given season and customs, moral values, societal worries and other cultural practices.

In the real world we are forced to deal with pain, sadness, and death. Everyday these are things that we must endure on a regular basis. The joy of movies and television allows us to escape these things. We no longer have to deal with the harshness of reality.

Theater and film do both reflecting changes in society and changing society, forcing it to push past it’s limits. When films, televisions and plays are produced, their authors include and reflect the events that are taking place in society during that period. All positive and negative events are included. The events, which are shown, reflect the outcomes on society and its people. For example in the play King Lear, written by William Shakespeare, the play talks about certain events going on during the time which the play took place which are disobedience of parents, greed and jealousy. Both the kings’ daughters represent the greed which people are exposed to. People harm the closest people they have just to maintain money and power. Because

When we sit down and watch a movie we don't think back to the history on how this billion-dollar industry evolved. Besides a ton of money poured into the idea of movies the incredible talent and skills of the actors.

Films are created as a reflection of society. They are designed to be a storytelling platform that inform the viewing audience about a specific message. Often time, films are created to address society’s present state, but rather end up predicting the future. From the 1968 hit film, 2001: A Space Odyssey, that predicted space tourism and algorithm operating systems, to the jaw-dropping 1984 film, Star Trek III:

Movies are the work of art to me. They have the ability to embody the reality. Also, they can take you from the reality into a world of fantasy. They convey to you the feeling of pleasure with amazement, and the creativity to change the design of writing to an image movable. Movies make the science easier, and you get the information in a fun way, which you will not get it if you read it in a book. They are the real art, and the best thing that have created. One the greatest movies I have ever watched if The Usual Suspects.
