There are several ways in which the Treaty of Versailles was a success but there are also some which show it was a failure.

The Treaty of Versailles was a treaty signed by the winners of WWI meant to punish the aggressors of the war. The treaty opened the door for WWII to develop into an international total war. The Treaty of Versailles made WWII inevitable due to the absurd amount of repercussions Germany had to deal with, the failure of the league of nations, and the expansion of Japan.

Countries had been dissolved and rearranged, governments had fallen and been replaced, and economies were thriving then crashing, all as a result from World War I. Inflation was not the main factor that caused the collapse of Germany, it was debt. Debt is what influenced them to this action because they saw no other way out of it. This mistake caused the collapse of the Weimer government and the rise of Nazi Germany. The Germans lost their hope and confidence in the government so they looked for new ideas such as the one that Adolf Hitler had and introduced the Nazi Party. Hitler convinced people that his party and political solution to fix the economy and rise Germany to be a superior nation. The Treaty of Versailles was effective because it made territorial changes and had strict military terms for Germany. The Treaty of Versailles was between Germany and the allied powers, however Germany had no control of it. It assigned the War Guilt Clause to Germany stating they were the ones who caused the damage in World War 1. It also caused Germany to lose all its colonies and weapons. Ultimately, the international community and The Treaty of Versailles played an exponential roll in the onset of WW2 by putting too harsh of conditions on Germany. The Treaty of Versailles forced Germany to take complete blame for WWI, practically abolished the German Military, ruined the German economy, caused the loss of land, and caused countless other damages to the country. Thus upsetting and angering the German people. As the war came to an end, the state of Germany was malignant and in collapse. A revolution was spreading among Germany in the 1918’s-1919. This revolution was inspired somewhat by the Russian revolution of 1917. On June 28th 1919 the treaty of Versailles was signed and in August of 1919 the revolution came to an end replacing the imperial German government with a Republic. This treaty should over all take the primary responsibility for World War II. This treaty set the stage for many of Hitler 's main arguments. Hitler ensured the German people that he would take back the land they had lost, improve the German economy, strengthen the German military, etc. etc. All of Hitler’s arguments made possible by the treaty Versailles. I am certainly not acknowledging and / or accepting the fact that The Treaty of Versailles caused Hitler’s wrath. However, it would be incredibly ignorant not to acknowledge the fact that this treaty significantly helped Hitler’s rise to power by setting the stage for Adolf Hitler’s arguments.
