Wouldn’t it be lovely to have the perfect friend, or at least a near perfect friend? If I had to chose any friend to describe as the “perfect friend”, I’d have to chose Trevor Santos. It would be interesting to be a friend of Trevor from the novel Forever for a Year, by B.T. Gottfred for many reasons. First, Trevor is very caring. He cared about his first love and girlfriend Carolina very much, and always made sure she was happy. He also always cared about his younger sister Lily and protected her at all costs. Second, he is funny. To be my friend, you will have to be somewhat humorous. He always has something funny to say that will make his family and friends laugh. Third, he is a gentleman. He is one of the kinds of guys that respect the

Jacob Lawrence was married to Gwendolyn Knight.
With regards to psychology there are many different theories and perspectives of the human mind however, I will be focusing on Sigmund Freud’s theory of human behavior. Freud believed that “human behaviour is driven by desires and the suppression of the same desires”. Concerning the case of Col. Russell Williams, he was a paraphilic; he stole lingerie and then took photographs of the women he sexually assaulted. According to Freud’s theory of human behavior, Williams did not possess the ability to control his desires. He started off as a “voyeur”, but somehow transformed into a perverted sex offender with a dark fixation for violence. Sigmund Freud compared the mind to an iceberg. Everything we are aware of is just the tip,
Have you ever heard of Dr. Ben Carson before? There is no question that he was an African American neurosurgeon and good at what he did, but who paved the way for people like him. Dr. Daniel Hale Williams was one of them. He was an American general surgeon who was born in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania in 1856.
I found Elijah Andersons article, “Race, Class, and Change Street Wise in an Urban Community,” very interesting by the way Anderson interlocked both racism and urban communities I realized after reading that being on a street in a village community for both blacks and whites was a life-threatening experience. I could not believe how difficult it was to distinct a middle-income black man or woman from a black “stranger.” For example, a young black man tells his experience he had when walking towards a white lady while a young white man runs across the street and just stands between the young black man and the white woman (Anderson, 209). The white man thought the black man was a threat when all he was doing was walking in the village and going a certain direction that happened to be towards a white woman. It is unbelievable of how much caution an individual has to overlook. The urban community streets are immensely analyzed. Anderson states how “background information and knowledge may
In this article, Gregg Zoroya reports on the RAND study that revealed that the Army chaplains need more training in handling suicidal soldiers because almost all of the chaplains who participated in the study said they have dealt with soldiers who want to kill themselves. This is even more vital because the study also revealed that chaplains and chaplain assistants do not hold positive views about therapy hence making them unlikely to advice soldiers to seek therapy when they become suicidal. Among the reasons they give for this is that soldiers think they will be viewed differently by peers if they seek help. 44% of army chaplains and 57% of chaplain assistants conceded that they need more training to help prevent suicide among soldiers.
Realism, as stated by Washington University, is the “faithful representation of reality that describes and depicts everyday middle- class life.” It (Realism) demonstrates the hardships and problems people undergo in order to be able to achieve moral success and mental peace. “Naturalism depicts the similar ideals as realism in portraying a situation in a more negative and detached tone” (literarydevices.net). The ideas are mostly focused on the character being more human and more prone to making mistakes and going through struggles that may seem hard to overcome, but in the end may teach something. Despite the character’s obstacles, they don’t overcome who they truly are and don’t change their personality, economic status or wealth.
This social assessment report is regarding Ryan Fritas, whom has three different degrees of separation from myself, which are sex, race, and sexual orientation. Ryan was born on September 21, 1998 in Santa Clara California. Ryan’s race is Irish, German, Dutch, and French, although, he sees that as being white. Growing up, his religion was determined by one aspect of his life, which was that he is gay. Ryan at first mentioned that he would claim to be atheist. Although, as I asked more questions he figured out that he believed in science. Ryan is in a stable relationship with his partner, yet he is not married.
Austin Phillips is a massive human being. He measures a towering six and a half feet tall and two hundred and fifty pounds. He has a wingspan of six feet and eight inches but is not a string bean by any means. As a football player here at Ashland, he spends a majority of his time lifting and playing football, making him fairly thick. His hair is a dirty shade of red and he has rosy cheeks and small squinty eyes. To those who might pass him on the street or face him on the football field, he might look like a complete wolf. And he has the potential to be one. However, I would argue that he is as far from being a wolf as a person could possibly be. He has the appearance of a wolf, but the qualities of a true sheepdog. Austin Phillips is a sheepdog
Who is Stephen Anthony Edwards, and why should he be selected as a student at RIT?
Stephen Willeford one of the heroes from the Southernland Springs shooting. Is a certified NRA instructor and stopped the bad guy by chasing him with Johnie Langendorff going 90 mph and firing at him with his AR-15. The Only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. That is why there should not be banned.
Living in a sense, is immensely blunt. As cliché as this sounds, in life you get what you

Today’s headlines read, “35-Year-Old Man’s Body Found in Nature Reserve” in the Chicago Daily News. People were very interested in how this event occurred in the first place. Through further investigation, they found out that the man was Jorge Warner, who worked at Field Museum of Natural History. They knew he has been dead since March 20, 2017. According to his parents, Elena Warner, his mother, and his father Ervin Warner, he was an intelligent boy, on the A honor roll all throughout high school. After high school, he went to college for a History Degree, at Chicago State University. After college, he got a job at Field Museum of Natural History, because he loved to learn, and also loved to talk about what he knew about a subject. According
From a young age, Tony Allison was exposed to experiences that initiated his interest in the evolution of humans, especially on how human history could be traced through genes. Born and raised in Kenya, Tony Allison was exposed to great opportunities such as going on trips for bird observations and preparations with a family friend, and the chance to visit digs and learn from anthropologist Louis Leakey. It was on his archaeological trips that Tony’s curiosity on human origins sparked. At the age of ten, Tony contracted malaria and although this was a bad issue, it was part of Tony's career choice. This situation, being treated by a doctor, and noticing malaria disease spread in parts of Africa, influenced Tony’s decision to attend medical
Born in Swanmore, England, Stephen Leacock was one of 11 children of an unsuccessful farmer and an ambitious mother, a woman to whom Leacock no doubt owed his energetic and status-conscious nature. In 1891, while teaching at the prestigious Upper Canada College in Toronto, Leacock obtained a modern language degree from the University of Toronto. In 1903, after receiving a Ph.D. in political economy from the University of Chicago, he joined the staff of McGill University, Montreal, as professor of politics and economics. Leacock's career as a humorist began when he had some comic pieces published as Literary Lapses in 1910. This successful book was followed by two more books of comic sketches, Nonsense Novels (1911) and
