The indigenous religions are still being practiced all over the world. However, because of their sacred and ancient cultural beliefs, there has been growing discord between various cultures due to globalization and modern development in the economy. Land belonging to the indigenous people have been confiscated (Fisher, 2014). The indigenous religions have suffered enormously from the offensive attacks
For many people with hectic, stressful lives, relaxation means zoning out in front of the TV at the end of the day or getting some extra sleep at the end of the weekend, but for a certain group of people relaxing does not include this. These people are called yogis; those who achieve relaxation through the art of meditation, breathing, stretching, and finding inner peace. In today’s fast paced society it is hard to find a way to fully relax because people are constantly being forced to push their minds and bodies to the limit, which can result in high levels of stress. Rather than fighting against life’s hardships, people who practice yoga value deep relaxation in order to be free of stress and live each day in peace and harmony
Something else veterans are looking to is yoga. Yoga has started to become more popular considering it helps veterans to learn how to handle their flight-or-flight response. With yoga veterans can additionally learn how to control their body. This can be helpful when a veteran feels anxiety start to overcome them, “they have other options: deep breathing, for example, as a means to self-calm” (Complementary). With yoga veterans don’t have to talk about/relive traumatic events.

Since I was a little girl I’ve always been part of something. But none of the activities I did really filled me. I became part of a dance academy when I was 13 years old, and it was because my sister wanted to learn to dance for her Quinceañera. It’s kind of ironic how something that would be very important to me started so simple. But I guess that’s just how the best things in life happens.

If one has ever been fortunate enough to see a live ballet then I’m sure at some point during the performance they found themselves wondering how much time, effort, and skill the dancers devote prior to the performance. While there are many factors contributing to the outcome of the show, as long as the dancer learns the choreography and has a great dress rehearsal, the audience is guaranteed to love the show!

Today, our third choreography day, my group was assessed by our peers. We did not finish the piece before the review, which I believe did contribute to some unusual mistakes. This contributed to many areas where we may had been forgetful and off time from each other simply because we were working before hand at a pace faster than our brains could comprehend, just to finish the dance. Realizing this, I definitely know that it is more beneficial to progress at a slower rate and remember the piece, than to vigorously finish the piece and tarnish all of our previous rehearsal time trying to remember other sections. Our peers had identified a very obvious flaw during the presentation: lack of expression. Again, I believe that because our minds were
Cardiovascular disease is a global burden and by changing risk factors such as increasing physical activity and reducing stress by relaxation can lower the incidence of the disease (Hartley, Dyakova, Holmes, Clarke, Lee, Ernst, & Rees, 2014) The study had 800 participants with high risk factors of the cardiovascular disease and were recruited to 11 study trials.
