Somebody I knew and loved once said to me, “Love isn't perfect. It isn't a fairytale or a storybook, and it doesn't always come easy. Love is overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, fighting to be together, holding on and never letting go. Love is work, but most of all, love is realizing that every hour, every minute, every second of it was worth it because you did it.....together.” is this quote true or does it hold a special meaning inside? Love, does it really happen or is it just a dream come true for some of us? Romeo and Juliet are some of the stories that makes us question love. For example Juliet was rich while Romeo was poor, but love blinded them. Another example, the movie A Walk to Remember, a troublesome boy falls in love with
Have you ever read the poem “Romeo and Juliet”? Romeo and Juliet is a poem about two lovers from two different worlds and family’s. In the end the couple both took their own lives, in result of a deep sleep and a heartbroken husband. I believe that this was because of a man named Friar Lawrence.
Juliet tilts her head to the side and ponders over the extremely general question. "Ice cream," She decides after a short moment of pause. "I want a strawberry and vanilla cone with a lot of sprinkles on top."
I was taking my usual late-night stroll through the gardens of Capulet, and I recalled my argument with Capulet which I had incited earlier that night. I have to admit, I was right in this argument whilst Capulet was acting immature and naive. The son of the archenemy of the Capulet family had snuck into the invite-only Capulet party! Romeo Montague was his name, I recalled, he was the man who snuck in. I couldn’t believe that Capulet had permitted him to stay even though our two families have an ancient grudge and even our servants know to take the wall from any man or maid of the Montague’s (1.0.3, 1.1.11).
Imagine if you were walking down the aisle on your wedding day which is meant to be the best day ever, but the person at the end is a stranger. How would you like if the day you have been waiting all your life is just practically handed to you and isn’t even what you wanted or who you wanted to be with. Well, this is actually how some people’s lives happen for them. Such as they have no say in who they marry because their parents are in control of it all. In Romeo and Juliet this is the same situation that Juliet and Paris went through in the story. Like how Juliet's parents wanted her to marry Paris at the age of fourteen. Juliet's family was for arranging marriage since they were arranged when they got married, but on the other hand Juliet was very against the whole idea of marrying at fourteen, especially since she was very in love with Romeo even though their two families hated each other. This caused a lot of problems with Juliet’s family and that she would have to
Love is spoken about a lot in all of these stories, one thing that these stories talk about is love can come with a cost. As you will see in these stories ( Romeo and Juliet, Pyramus and Thisbe, and Duty) there will be death due to love.
The United States is a battleground for the American people to fight for their freedoms. However, when the American people fight for their freedoms, they often inadvertently ruin their chances at gaining freedom. In fact, a person’s desire gain freedom will lead to his demise. In the tragedy 'Romeo and Juliet', Shakespeare presents the inner struggles of Romeo and Juliet, the two protagonists as one of the main themes. This is clearly shown at the end of Act 3 Scene 2 when Juliet receives the news that Romeo has been banished and Tybalt has been killed. Juliet is distraught at the conflict of her loyalties. Should she express love for her family or should she express love for Romeo? By using many different language features, such as oxymorons, paradox, antithesis and dramatic irony, Shakespeare effectively displays Juliet's conflicting emotions. Later in the play, Shakespeare uses the betrayal by adults to again show the inner struggles of Romeo and Juliet.
"LOVE IS A Certain Inborn Suffering derived from the sight of and excessive Meditation upon the beauty of the opposite sex, which causes each one to wish above all things the embraces of the other, and by common desires carry out all of love's precepts in the other's Embrace" is definition of medieval love. But Really, How much does Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet comes to terms of traditional " love"? Think about Romeo in the very beginning of the play, when he talks about Rosaline. He describes, rather about her looks as he says: " O, she is rich in beauty, only poor". Romeo talks of his unattainable love to the beautiful Rosaline. He sees Rosaline as strong, for she would never be hit by cupid's arrow. This is an example of courtly
I am heartbroken over the deaths of my master and friend, Romeo, Juliet, who brought Romeo great happiness, and county Paris, who I knew to be a very honorable man. I hope that this court session will bring justice for Romeo, Juliet, and Paris. To help bring this justice, I will truthfully tell you all that I know.

In the play Romeo and Juliet, there were multiple climaxes that occurred. Climaxes are often a very important part in a story as they are what the story is leading up to and are usually the most exciting and intense part of the story. They are the high point and cause of lots of important events to later occur. In Romeo and Juliet, there are two main climaxes that occur. Chronologically, the first one being the fight between Romeo, Mercutio, and Tybalt that ultimately lead to both Tybalt and Romeo’s deaths. And the second one being the final deaths of both Romeo and Juliet. Both of these are the most important climaxes because they cause the biggest changes for the characters in the story and they are big high points.

William Shakespeare is widely known for all of his literary works; one of his most famous love tragedies being 'Romeo and Juliet'. A Shakespearean definition of tragedy exemplifies the sense that human beings are inevitably doomed through their own failures or errors, the ironic action of their virtues, or even through the nature of fate and destiny (Sayour, Susan, 2007). Romeo and Juliet is a tragic tale based on two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately unite their feuding families. Throughout the play, Shakespeare intentionally draws on text structures and language features in order to replicate the attitudes, values and beliefs of Elizabethan audiences and intertwine it into his
Montague's son Romeo in the book Romeo and Juliet written by Shakespeare in the 1500’s, supports the audience with many of his strengths and weaknesses.
