Another aspect of Stephanie’s life is partnering with The Dream Center of Lakeland. She pairs Fire Athletics with a local outreach and serves the community. It is not a glamorous part of her life and is a lot of work but, it is obvious that it is an important and impactful part of her life. She is willing to give her time to help others and connect her community, such as Southeastern, with other ones, like Crystal Grove. It is very admirable, that someone with such a busy schedule, takes time to give back and be involved in the community; that speaks volumes about her character.
The Thurmond Rule is an informal and somewhat amorphous rule in the United States Senate regarding confirmations of judicial nominees. While it originated with former Senator Strom Thurmond's opposition to President Lyndon Johnson's nomination of Justice Abe Fortas to be Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in June 1968, the specifics of the rule vary between sources. Thurmond himself said that no lifetime judicial appointments should move in the last six months or so of a lame-duck presidency.[1] In the last year of George W. Bush's second term Democratic Senator Patrick Leahy stated the rule as meaning "judicial nominations do not advance in the Senate in the latter part of a presidential election year without the support of Senate leaders

Today, she is not only a true professional, but also a loving mother to her six year old daughter Rebecca, and a wife to Paul Soares all part of a happy and truly fulfilling marriage.
Getting away as soon as she could was her number one goal. Moving from Milwaukee to Arizona to go to college and then to study abroad in New Zealand was an easy transition. But nothing has ever came as easy to her as the three most valuable things in her life, her happiness with being settled in Colorado, her husband Jeff, and her four year old daughter Freya who she considers to be her greatest accomplishment in life. Currently teaching at Denver School of Science and Technology: College View High School. Teaching 9th grade Composition. She is very content with life. Loving reading, writing, and a glass of wine when things get a little too hectic, those three things became very needed while just dealing with the sudden unpredicted death of her mother this past October, who got stung by a bee on a random Monday, had no known allergies to bee stings, went it too shock, and passed away a couple hours
In “Gryphon,” by Charles Baxter, Miss Ferenczi has an unconventional teaching style that positively impacts the children by getting them interested in their education and the possibilities in the world. Miss Ferenczi may not always teach what was in the curriculum, however, she causes the children to educate themselves, not only in the classroom, but at home. After Miss Ferenczi tells the children about the creature that was half bird and half lion in Egypt, the children are skeptical yet fascinated. Tommy, the main character states, “I ran into the living room, pulled out a dictionary next to the TV stand, and opened it to the G’s”(p.36). Tommy is intrigued by Miss Ferenczi’s outlandish tale and wants to know if a monster such as a gryphon
Ms. Rose became a teacher because she enjoys helping children, and gets a fulfilling feeling when she does. She enjoys that teachers have summers and weekends off, unlike a job that’s all year round. Having time off will benefit her in the future when she has children, as she will be able to spend more time with them than someone with a different job. Before deciding to become
For a long time I didn’t know what I would like to pursue as a career but when I reflected on my life I realized some of my favorite times in life were when I was teaching someone something and when I was learning. In my future career as a high school teacher I will able to do both of those things. Seeing peoples’ eyes light up with interest because they
The teachers profiled in “Unforgettable Miss Bessie”, “My Favorite Teacher”, and “And the Orchestra Played On” are remembered and admired by the narrators. Miss Bessie, Miss Hattie, and Mr. K. possessed significant qualities that made them remarkable educators. They inspired and encouraged students. They only wanted the best for their students and prepared them for their futures, enabling them to overcome difficulties in school. Besides the content of their subject matter these educators their taught students to believe that their lives and future all depends from themselves: whether they would choose the clean asphalt road or dirty, bumpy one.
While my dedication to teaching at some capacity has been a lifelong passion, I would like to explain why I want to join Teach for America by starting at the beginning of my own academic journey:
I always thought I would be a teacher and I would make differences in lives and it would be the greatest experience in the world for me, yet being a teacher wasn’t enough, I had a need to expand my education. I decided that perhaps I needed a new career, however, I felt certain education remained my passion. I began to explore new areas of education and I realized I still want to be a member of a classroom, a school and curriculum. I aspire to guide those leading our classrooms.
The American culture is encouraging consumer with semaphore from the trend that people with social class. …., such as iphone, cars, and handbag could it be identify a person social statu. On the other hand, people tell about a person a regularly bag that cost $10 dollar. That's a fact, because the avagest of an Hermes Birkin bag cost the range of $17,000- $45,000, which can be someone one year salary. Does people fill themselves socializing within the same group? “ the rich getting richer, and the pool getting poorer?” This is something that we all
Choosing a favorite teacher is fairly difficult when one puts into account all the types of teachers they have known, all of them are important. Teachers are the second most important people in our lives, right after our parents. Teachers are persuasive and have the power to build a child up from an immature student to become a responsible adult; or they can completely and utterly crush a students hopes and dreams.
Almost all little girls start their primary schooling years wanting to play school and wanting to learn. At home they act like they are teaching their own classroom and leading their group of students in front of them (most likely a stuffed animal), but their imagination, creativity, and eagerness to learn is at the peak when they begin their first day of school. Ever since that day I still want to be an educator and to make a difference in this field for the better. I have always found that the most intriguing thing for me in life is conveying knowledge and skills onto other people and watching in their eyes when the switch finally clicks that they understand what I have been trying to teach them. Knowing that the impact you made for just that short amount of time in that child’s life may never be forgotten.
