As years go by, I learn more about myself and figure out what my true goals are. Many of them help guide me to having a happy life. I’m going off to college to further more my education so that I become successful in my future. I want to get a job in my field right after college and willing to face the difficulties that are thrown at me. As long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to become a police officer. It’s been a dream of mine that I want to make happen. Being granted help from the scholarship committee would be an honor. In my eyes, I’ve done many things to deserve it. For the past six years, I’ve been taught responsibility and what it meant. I know in order to have things that I need, that I have to work and that’s why I work 40
With graduation drawing near I am excited and ready to put my Agricultural Science degree to use in an industry that I am extremely passionate about. Throughout my time at Cal Poly, I have been working for the San Luis Obispo Police Department as a Student Neighborhood Assistant Program Officer. Before I began working at San Luis Obispo Police Department I had always planned on a career in law enforcement, but with graduation quickly approaching I am not certain that is the career path I am meant to take especially with the public's perspective of peace officers today. I can say that during my time with the San Luis Obispo Police Department, I have gained an immense amount of skills through first hand experiences such as organization, leadership,
Becoming a Police Officer has been my dream for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I always wanted to see what was going on when the flashing lights and sirens raced past my house. As I grew up, I realized I possessed a strong desire to help others and to become someone who served my community in a way that would make my family and me proud. My desire from a very young age to become a Police Officer has influenced choices and decisions I have made and contributed significantly toward shaping me into the person I am now.
Since I was a child I have always had an interest in law enforcement. A lot of my family has experience in this field including two police officers. After lengthy studies into what would be the best move for me I decided that a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice would be the best life choice for me. I will begin by enrolling in college in the fall of 2016. Looking forward to my career I am very excited about what this life holds for me.
My professional goal is to attend a 4 year college in the Mainland to get a Pediatric degree. I chose this as my professional goal because I have personal experience of losing a baby. That made me even more love babies and help the ones in need. This professional goal is important to me because there is some people out there in the world that does not take care of their babies after they give birth or even while they are pregnant. They do not eat healthy or they drink alcohol or, even do drugs that will hurt the baby. It is also important to me because if your baby is born unhealthy or in pain some parents will not care or do anything to help the baby. Seeing babies unhealthy or not being taken care of hits home hard for me. This goal might
If I was to receive the award it would mean a lot because as of right now I don’t the money that will help me to go to college, over the year I have been working hard on trying to save money for years but its very hard when your family doesn't have a lot of money and when ever I could work or any chance to getting a small job to get money I would take it. Since my grandparents haven't had a lot of money I would use the money that I would get in my job to buy the supplies I need this includes clothing, utility for school and other things that’s I would need. Every now and then I would go out to the movies and stuff that every teenager has done at one point, but for the most part I have worked a lot to not have to bother my grandparents. Because I always have known the circumstance of financial need in which we were in. I would try to not ask and not try to talk about the critical issue of the money with them, because they know that there just so much that they could do. I remember that at some point my grandparents both would work day and night to sustain our family. When I would wake up for school I wouldn't see them and when I would come back from school they were getting ready to leave to their other job. In fact I would cry sometimes, because I wouldn't know what to do. When I was younger in summer I would stay home alone
I want to become a cop because I have always been around cops growing up, I would always skateboard on private property. I was always dealing with cops in not such a good way, but one time I was skating at the bandshell in Clear Lake, IA which is private property. One time a cop drove past and my friend and I knew he was coming for us. My friend and I ran and we made it about two blocks before the cop caught us. The cop then asked what we had and I said a skateboard and he said what kind and I told him. The cop then asked to ride it, after that experience i’ve always wanted to become a cop,
My long-term goals is to make something of my life, to be in a job that it is not just about the money but about helping people. I’ve hated injustice, when criminals hurt people I always wish that I would have been there to save the victim. When I go to ASU I want to study to be in the justice system like the Police, FBI, etc. There I hope to be what I’ve wanted to be since I was very little, a hero and make my family and God proud. However, I also want to help myself as well and my family not just victims. I want to build a business so that from the money I get from it and from my job in the justice system, I can live in a beautiful home in Mexico. I don’t wish to stay in the U.S for long, just long enough to complete my dreams of joining my dream
Reaching goals is important. Not doubt about it, it is important. From athletic goals, to even small goals such as reading goals, it is all important for your personality. Reaching and setting goals will have an impact on your self esteem, personality, and even your confidence.
At the beginning of my high school journey (grade 6 onwards), I was very interested in becoming a doctor. More specifically an orthopedic surgeon. Finding out that I could not go into my field due to my hand tremors was difficult to take in at such a young age. Conducting more and more research as I got older, showed me that coming into engineering would give me so many options to continue my interest in biology, perhaps designing machines that could work more efficiently etc.
The five most important goals to me are graduating high school, graduating college, being able to support my family, and being able to be a positive role model to my kids. These goals are extremely important to me.
“What do you plan on doing with your life?” This is the dreaded question I always hate having to try to answer. This question, I have wrestled with for the past few years, but one that answer that always crosses my mind is law enforcement. There are quite a few branches of law enforcement, some of which I will explore more throughout the paper. Though it seems like an exciting job full of danger, it’s not all chase scenes and gun fights. Those kinds of things come very rarely for a police officer, and those in “higher up” organizations like the FBI or CIA. Many law enforcement officers don’t experience these high tension moments, but they are always ready for them. In fact, they try to avoid these situations at all costs as to avoid most if
My goal is to receive an associate degree and to study law enforcement or criminal justice. I want to contribute a short career plans. The minimum requirements to become my future job a police officer, is to have high school diploma or associate degree. Usually the increase of number people attending with application to complete at least one or two years of college coursework and to have in associate degree. When I grow up I want to become a police officer. A police officer is my future job since I was small. Becoming a police officer is my goal to accomplish. An officers must know all the law enforcement for in order to become one. Its job is to protect the people in the property and also to patrol the areas they need be to assigned
The case presents Mr. John Clendenin with the ambitious goals of becoming successful enough to be a corporate officer on a Fortune 50 corporation and on the boards of several others. Eventually, he wants to be appointed to a cabinet-level position in the government. He currently is a manager who is using the Multinational Development Center (MDC) to help enhance Xerox’s efficiency with worldwide logistics and inventory management systems. He started with Xerox back while he was attending Harvard Business School working as a productivity consultant in the parts and supply area. His early successes through improvements in the multinational computer and management systems allowed him to climb to a position where he became an administrative manager. Along the way, he was met with resentment due to being promoted so quickly and receiving resources other departments did not.
I want to become a police officer so I can help people and have an “outside” job. Police officers help people in danger and the enforce laws in a community. There are many types of police officers. There is a normal city police officer, sheriff, state trooper, DEA, Swat, and much more. Police officers don't just enforce laws and help people in danger they also are usually the first ones to a medical seen so they have a little medical background so they can help the person in need until the paramedics can get there. I want to pursue law enforcement because I believe that it will challenge me, as well as offer a source of enjoyment every day.
What should we do in our lives to become successful? That always seems to be a tricky question. Life’s not guaranteed to be a breeze, never turning out the exact way that we want it to. Life's not about the amount of money that we have saved up, it is about what we do to make a difference and how we will make our lifetime worth it. I want to become a police officer to make Las Vegas a safer place. Becoming a police officer has always been a dream of mine. My father is a police officer and has always inspired me to be one. He’s helped me throughout the years to ensure my success in school. Going to a high school called Veterans Tribute helps me pursue my goal of being a police officer by offering LE courses and physical training. Being a police officer is my number one goal in life, and be a successful one too.
