The President’s House, written by the daughter of President and Ms. Harry S. Truman, Margaret Truman Daniel, is a book about life, people and the happenings of The White House throughout the years. As part of the first family during the Truman presidency, she experienced life in The White House first hand. With this experience, the fact that she has done her research by speaking to other first families, and sought information about previous presidencies, she has written an endearing, informative, and surprisingly funny book. Though it does read slow and the language does make some things hard to understand I would recommend it to others.

Ceremonies and rituals are integral parts of any civilization, both current and ancient; among the ancient civilizations, Egypt is renowned for its religious societal rituals and afterlife beliefs. From pharaohs and luxurious burials, to lavish processions; ancient Egypt is among the most fascinating and curious cultures. Egyptian architecture is also extremely interesting in terms of location, scale, purpose, and potentially most important how Egyptian architecture can dictate movement through the space.
Imagine there was a person who lived their entire life in a safe bubble where no one could hurt him. He lived there for the majority of his life and everyone there was told how and when to interact with him. This boy was completely unaware of the filters everyone had to put on around him, but one day he found out. He had to choose to either leave his safe bubble for the chance to have natural conversations with others and leave the safety of his world or he could stay there and be safe but have everything around him controlled. When trying to make independence and safety coexist, an individual often has to have more independency than saftey in their life. The movie, “The Truman Show”, is an excellent example. In this movie there is a man

A body or system of teachings related to a particular subject or belief, or a doctrine can be referred to as advocating for a particular principle. Each of the presidents in the United States of America ruled using a doctrine. With the use of a doctrine, a president is able to set goals and attitudes to be followed during their reign. The doctrines are mostly associated with Cold War. The main concern in this article is the Truman doctrine which is associated with the Soviet Union, cold war, and countries like Greece, Iran, and Turkey. In short for a President to be said to pronounce a certain doctrine there was what pushed him and yes one of the main things is bitterness from the Cold war (Kuniholm, 2014).

I think that the title fits the book. I think the title fits the book because the whole reason why everything happened was because of the “Truth About Truman” website and without the website none of this would have happened. This book has helped me in a way. This book has helped me understand what kids go through when they are being bullied and what they have to deal with when they get bullied. It has also helped me understand how important true friends are. It helped me understand that because in the book it gives an example of when Zebby and Amr go looking for Lilly in the woods even though Lilly treated them wrong and did them dirty.

His speech led to the Cold War policy of containment. Moreover, it served as a precedent for future U.S. policy of interventionism. According to Stephen Ambrose, an important quote from Truman’s speech, “I believe that it must be the policy of the United States to support free people who are resisting attempted subjugation by
