The Neolithic Revolution was the major change in human life caused by the beginnings of farming. This revolution changed people’s lives in several ways. It changed the way people lived because before the Neolithic Revolution they relied on hunting and gathering food. It also changed the way they settled, because of this revolution they were able to live in villages for a long time, unlike before; they had to relocate often because their food source would become scarce.  The way civilizations lived changed because of the Neolithic Revolution. A civilization is a form of culture that consists of cities, advanced technology, specialized workers, complex institutions, and record keeping. The early river valley civilizations; which developed in Mesopotamia, Egypt, Indus, and China, had more similarities than differences. The river valley civilizations were similar when it came to their writing systems, inventions, and geography. However, they were also different when it came to writing systems and inventions.

Agriculture is the main reason we have civilization today, for without food surplus people would spend their days finding food and water constantly. Native Americans started like all other people in the world, doing just that, until over time they turned food production into an art. Without the elaborate specialization of crops over time, people would not have reached the point that they had before the Europeans had arrived. The allowance of food surplus led to the ability to advance culturally, scientifically, and economically.

1B: The first civilizations formed at around 10,000 BCE, when humans settled around the Fertile Crescent to plant crops like wheat, barley and cereal. Cereal’s property of sweetening when soaked in water, and fermenting over time were discovered, making it a significant grain that led to permanent settlements, and eventually, the development of civilizations.

For example in document one the farmers lived in villages that eventually grew into small towns and then cities. If we never settled we would've never been civilized as we are today. Writhing was also a massive turning point in our history. If the Mesopotamians did not create a form a writing we would have never been able to communicate or talk with anyone else in our society (Document 3). Also in document 4 the Mesopotamians made various utensils to prepare and eat out of. This helps us understand what they used to eat and eat out of. As shown in document 5 Neolithic farmers used deer antler to farm. They would shape the tools and use them for a variety of different things. In document 6 Neolithic people learned how to domesticate a number of different animals such as sheep and goats. Also they learned how to domesticate flax. This is a big step forward to help them with further domestications. Lastly people in this era did the job that they did best (Job Specialization). For example if one farmed but was better at making tools for farming then they would specialize in that area work. As you can see there are were many different turning points in the Neolithic

Something about a single leader appealed to these people and to all people all the way up into the 1700s. Not to say that monarchies don’t exist anymore, they do. China held onto monarchy from the Tang Dynasty, past the Han dynasty. Han China worked similarly to the dynasty before it: the Qin. A Civilization improves people’s lives in comparison to the Neolithic Society as it shows an advanced step into a social development and human society. The Neolithic Age which began around 8,000 B.C.E could be possibly describe as the greatest single change in human history, this is probably because everything really revolves around it in our society now. As said by William Howells, Back of History, Doubleay Co. “It was dramatic, but long after, in its consequences, because everything else we have achieved flowed out of this as a beginning…” During the time of the Neolithic Revolution, people had to set up temporary camps to live there for a while until the food begin to dwindle as starvation was one step away with the weather changes and the animal migration! With the time passing by, they were able to develop agriculture and with that people were able to farm instead of hunting and gathering which lead to population expansion thus this is when a Civilization begin. With a Civilization, the people within the society sets forth a form of government standard and a writing language.

Mesopotamia was the world's first civilization--the first time people settled down to live together in one place. They didn't have to rely only on hunting and gathering to get food because they knew how to farm and could save up food for the winter. Since they had so much extra time now (the time they used to spend hunting animals and gathering plants), this allowed them to begin creating objects and ideas to help them live a little easier.

The World War I ended many important monarchies; however, there are still 26 monarchies around the world some of which are the United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, Morocco, Jordan, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and Swaziland.
