     Doc Holiday could be known as the most skillful gambler, the nerviest, fastest, and deadliest man with a six-shooter. John Henry Holiday was born on August 14, 1851 in Griffin, Georgia. His father was Henry Broughs, and mother Alice Jane Holiday. Their first child Martha Elenore, had died at six months of age on January 8, 1889. Holidays father was a druggist by trade and later became a wealthy planter, lawyer, and during the civil was he was a confederate Major.

Did you know that Pilgrims and the Indians made the day of Thanksgiving on November 29 1623? Well, if you did than that’s great. I wrote about Thanksgiving because it's the holiday that our family always cherishes. Sometimes I would watch cooking channels to learn how to cook Thanksgiving food for my family. It's really what we do every Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is my favorite time of the year. My mom Aunt and grandma rotate through the years. My aunt Heather and her family aren’t usually able to come for thanksgiving sense they live in Texas.

While children are growing up in America, they are told several tales of America’s establishment and history. However, these stories are generally not told as they actually happened. An instance of this is the story of the Pilgrims and the first Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is explained as this elaborate ceremony where the Pilgrims and Indians gathered in harmony at this large harvest in celebration of their coming together. According to the primary document of William Bradford’s journal, Thanksgiving didn’t pan out quite as it is explained to Americans today. In “Thanksgiving: A Personal History” By Jennifer New, She experiences internal conflict because she is confused on how she should celebrate her first thanksgiving as an adult, to either use old traditions she did as a child or to start a new thing as an adult.

On September 6, 1620, 102 men, women and children from England boarded a small cargo boat called the Mayflower and set sail for the New World. The passengers left their homes in England in search of religious freedom from the King of England. Today they are known as "pilgrims."

I'm doing well and I had a relaxing Thanksgiving break. I hope your break was good as well.

I can’t believe my first college semester is almost over. Key word is “almost” because the weeks following thanksgiving break will be critical for me. Thanksgiving, most Americans celebrate Thanksgiving but not everyone celebrates it the same way as you. Grandma’s house, that’s where i always go for thanksgiving. But that doesn’t mean that everyone else who celebrate thanksgiving goes to their grandma’s house, some people don’t even leave their home. Every person has a unique way to spend their thanksgiving

This year Thanksgiving is on November 23,2017. Every year my family Thanksgiving is the best, to me at least. So we always have Thanksgiving at my Grandmas and Grandpas, but not this year we are having it at my house. Which I mean could be good and bad. Good is it is at my house so it’s cool and bad, the house has to be completely spotless or my mom will freak out. Normally what we do every year is we get my family together and have dinner, mess around, and watch football. This year my dad's brother is coming with his three daughters and his wife and my grandpa and grandma. I really can’t wait to see them all because I don't really see them that much as I would like to. When we have a family dinner like this we always have a lot of food for everyone.

My Thanksgiving was pretty fun. I got to see all of my brothers at the same time. We did not have our dinner until Friday, but Thursday was still pretty busy. We did a lot of cooking. Also a lot of arranging.

Thanksgiving is a time for family, food and reminiscing about all the good times. At the Fitzgerald household only two things matter most. Food and Monopoly. We've played the painstakingly long game every year since I was seven, and I would always lose. Naturally, when my uncle busted out the game, I was ready to back out and save the small dignity that I still had.

The truth behind the tradition is surprising. Thanksgiving and the Pilgrims seem to go together, but the truth is, the Pilgrims never held an autumnal Thanksgiving feast. However the Pilgrims did have a feast in 1621, after their first harvest, and it is this feast, which people often refer to as "The First Thanksgiving". This feast was never repeated, though, so it can't be called the beginning of a tradition, nor was it termed by the colonists or "Pilgrims" a Thanksgiving Feast. In fact, a day of thanksgiving was a day of prayer and fasting, and would have been held any time that they felt an extra day of thanks was called for. Nevertheless, the 1621 feast has become a model that we think of for our own
