Tyler Lockett is a wide receiver playing for the Seattle Seahawks in the national football league. On Saturday December 24th, 2016 while playing against the Arizona cardinals Lockett suffered a fracture in both the tibia and fibula above his right ankle while running a corner route. After catching the ball while in the process of being tackled by the defensive back, Lockett’s leg was landed on causing the fracture. Even though he suffered a terrible injury Lockett managed to not suffer any ligament, muscle, or tendon damage, although the fracture did cause a small tear in the skin resulting in some blood. Lockett was required to undergo surgery late Saturday night, following this surgery Lockett was placed on injured reserve.

Kevin White is injured with a fractured ankle and broken fibula on his left leg. He doesn't know if he has to get surgery yet. White is a first round draft pick that sat out his full first season and is is now sitting out for his second. However coach John Fox believes White can be a valuable player. Whites injury occurred in week 4 against the Detroit Lions. "I thought it was by far his best game” says head coach John Fox. Doctors predict White will return in 8 weeks.

Under continued pressure from fans and retired players, the issue of head traumas has skyrocketed. Frank Conidi at the Florida Center of Headache and Sport Neurology reported, “that 40% of retired National Football League (NFL) players show evidence of abnormal brain structures.” A typical complete recovery on concussions is within a week, football player is at an increased risk due to the physical play.
In sports health is the most important aspect of any teams success!! For the Panthers it's been a hurdle we have dealt with for the last couple of years with Cam Newton's car wreck and a revolving door at running back because of nagging leg injuries. Training camp has just got underway and the team has taken a few body blows to their depth the biggest being defensive tackle Star Lotulelei suffered a stress reaction in his surgically repaired foot Monday and will be reevaluated in a few weeks a tough loss, but luckily it happened so early in camp so he has a chance to get healthy and help this team win. The team also lost offensive lineman Jonathan Martin and cornerback Chris Houston to retirement because of injury.
The pathos from the audience really shows in the picture and video of the injury. These multimedia is very difficult to look at for most viewers. The emotions of shock and sympathy to Kevin Ware occur in the injury paragraph. But the main point of the website is the point to persuade kids to take a break when they are hurt because you could make it worse like Kevin did. This is described more in detail on the influence page. The biggest thing that supports this point is a quote from a conference when Ware was describing another athlete by saying, “He wishes he could be out there with the guys, making a difference, making it easier.”. He understands the wanting feeling to play but knows it is better to just sit
The second half of this is outline too brief and superficial to be very helpful. See these web sites that do a better job describing Ankle Fractures:
On September 9th, 2007, tragedy struck as the Buffalo Bills’ tight end, Kevin Everett, broke his neck on the 2nd half kickoff against the Denver Broncos. The injury was caused by a helmet to helmet hit on the Denver Broncos’ kick returner, Domenik Hixon. Head and neck injuries like these continue to be a threat to many football players. Many solutions have been tried, but none have made a significant impact on the safety of the game.
A Sports Therapist needs to have great knowledge of how the body functions, what muscles work
The NFL needs to make their players wear the best equipment available to ensure their safety. Sources against football head trauma say that it is not the helmets fault but that it is the players fault. When the players move in one direction that means that their brains move in that same direction and when they receive a hard hit it causes the brain to move in another direction which causes concussions. These sources think this way because by logical reasoning the brain will shift in a certain way when moving at a high rate of speed and when all comes to an abrupt stop the brain will shift and move around. The evidence that these sources have come up with is that the brains relative motion is sped up when the head moves at 15-20hz, completing

Phineas Gage was an average family man before the date of September 13th, 1848. Previous to his injury he was labeled as “the most efficient and capable foreman” (Mo Costandi 2006.) Noting we can infer that he was most likely a hard worker, a provider, something a son or daughter could look up to. Which is not too far off from what the people that knew him would agree. This was all previous to his injury that would change his world and the world of the people around him.
According to yard house from “ A comparison of high school sport injury surveillance data reporting by certified athletic trainer and coaches”, “High school athletes sustain more than 1.4 million injuries annually”. Many of these injuries are caused because public high school do not provide enough professional care for athletes. Some of the reasons that athletes are not provided with right care is because of insurance, proper equipment and educated professionals to treat injuries.
College football players are naturally at risk of injury. The reasons why are due to the aggressiveness of the sport, lack of proper technique, technology, and equipment used by players. The crazy thing is however, that's what we sign up for on a regular basis. There have been rule changes to help avoid injury, but a few rules isn't what is going to fix things. There must be new gear and medical test to make sure players are safe. If players wish to continue playing for a long period of time attention to their bodies is a necessity. Far too many football players careers are cut short due to brain injury and damage.Football players need better medical attention for their bodies.
Professor of American Literature Sarah Churchwell once said, “People who are given whatever they want soon develop a sense of entitlement and rapidly lose their sense of proportion.” In the famous movie A Few Good Men, Colonel Nathan R. Jessup, who is masterfully played by Jack Nicholson, exudes arrogance in his every action throughout the crime fiction thriller. Furthermore, Lieutenant Daniel Kaffee uses his late father’s past occupation of United States’ Attorney General to obtain his own sense of entitlement and invincibility. Two independent scenarios occur in the film that support this theory of entitlement; three different decorated authors also contain evidence as to why this might be the case for Colonel Jessup and Lieutenant Kaffee
