Former Toronto Marlies forward Tyler Wong lit up in pre-season action on Sunday against the Vancouver Canucks with 3g, 1a.
Vancouver, B.C.- After a convincing 9-4 victory over the Vancouver Canucks, former Toronto Marlie and Lethbridge Hurricanes captain Tyler Wong put on a clinic against the nucks' in a 4 point effort.
This isn't the first time Tyler Wong has had a multi-point game, as the diminutive forward tallied 109 points in 69 games in the WHL last season with the Hurricanes.
The undrafted 21 year-old from Cochrane, Alberta may be familiar to some Leafs fans, as he participated in both the development and training camp with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 16/17. Riding a two-goal performance in camp scrimmages, Wong showed off his speed and tenacity on the puck, eventually earning an Amateur Tryout deal with the Toronto Marlies.

Before becoming the first player in Golden Knights history to score a goal, Wong was a five-time winner of the Hurricanes Fan Favorite Award. This should not come as a surprise, as Wong finished his career with the Hurricanes third all-time in career games played (317), third in all-time goals (143), ninth in all-time assists (155), and sixth all-time in points (298).
Despite being 5'9, Tyler Wong has all the markings to be a successful player in the NHL.

Konecny scored 30 goals last season in the Ontario Hockey League. Konecny totaled 101 points in 60 games. Right-hander Conner Dotson (3-0) pitched five innings. The junior allowed four runs on four hits while striking out seven. Freshman Riley Troutt tossed three innings, allowing one unearned run on three hits. Freshman Alek Manoah pitched a scoreless ninth.
This will be Sean Lee’s first regular season game since 2013 because of missing last season with a torn ACL. Lee is the heart, beat, and soul of this defense. The captain of the defense.
