Stroke is classified as the fourth leading cause of the death in the United States. There are three different types of stroke ischemic stroke,uv hemorrhagic stroke and transient ischemic attack. History
The history of stroke began with Hippocrates, the father of medicine, who was the first one to recognized stroke more than 2,400 years ago. Back then they used to refer as apoplexy a Greek terms, which means “struck down by violent” because at that time they did not have an explanation for it .Century later, in mid-1600’s Jacob Wepfer discovered that something disrupted the blood supply in the brain of people who died from apoplexy.
