I'm at USM because college is a more assured way for me to get a good job. Job's take people with degree's over other's without degree's in a heartbeat. I want to write computer programs, and I heard that USM provides a great computer science program, so I think that coming to USM would improve my chances in any job interviews I might have. College will put me in an environment in which I can apply myself without as many distractions as being in an apartment, while working a full time job. To be honest, I don't care what college I go to. I only care if they can give me a degree in computer
The diversity of NC State would benefit me by allowing me to experience new relationships and skills. I learn and develop through my experiences, and the mixture of the campus, culture, and nearby cities would give me that growth. These new opportunities
I chose NDSU because I feel like I was pretty well acquainted with the campus during my time in high school. Each summer, for FFA, my chapter, along with others from across the state, spent a week here competing in different agricultural competitions. Also, I talked with alumni from this nursing program, and they all said it was set up very well, and also put them on a track to getting a good job afterwards. When I came for a tour earlier this spring, I got to hear a speech from the Dean of nursing, and I just sort of felt like this was the right place. On a side note, I like being here because of the agricultural side of NDSU as well, even if I’m not necessarily going into a field pertaining to it. It seems more like home to me, when the person next to me, going into Vet Tech, rides horse as much as I did.
I chose to attend West Hills College so that I will be close to home. A small college will be great because I believe it will continue to provide a strong sense of community. The aspect of a strong sense of community will work best because it offers a better opportunity of interacting with your college peer. Attending a small college come with many positive outcomes. One of the many positive outcomes it has is that you have the privilege to interact more with the instructor and the students that are in the class. Furthermore being enrolled in a community college for instance West Hills College Coalinga gives you the privilege of making friends. Going into a smaller campus helps students get to their class faster without an exception of getting
One thing I needed in my college of choice was that it had to be small because I knew I would be able to focus better. My first choice, Towson University, was a large school and all my friends currently go there, but God, and my perspicacious mother, clearly knew I should not go there because of the countless distractions that would have hindered my success. The small atmosphere of Catawba enabled them to have a family style relationship all around campus. I am used to this family style because it reminded me of my high school. Another reason I chose to enroll at Catawba was because of its six hour distance away from my home known as the DMV, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, area. I have been in that area all my life and living somewhere else for I think would be greatly beneficial to my development as a person and would broaden my perspective. The other aspect of moving away from where you have been all your life is that you have to leave behind all your family and friends and that is one of the hardest parts. However, you will have a newfound appreciation for them that
Overall, Texas A&M offers a great opportunity for me. Trying to get into this university alone will give me the opportunity to get better and try my hardest. I also love the fact that this school has a 20:1 student faculty ratio. I have always went to a small student faculty ratio school and I want to continue it. Last but not least, the computer science program is perfect for me. I can pursue my dream to have a job that is related with computer
I choose to attend the University of Florida for the culture of community that exists on the campus. The University of Florida has always been a school that wants its students to succeed, but what is the most interesting aspect is that the students push each other together to achieve their goals. We live in a society where it is a "Man vs Man" world and that only one can succeed. Here at the University of Florida, we challenge those social norms and try to create a pathway that fits for everyone. Here, we just don't have dreams, because as gators, we make those dreams plans and those plans into reality. Being able to accomplish or do something that makes your life fulfilling is what made me want to come to the University of Florida and continue to give back to the place that gave me the chance to improve myself and help others improve too.
My interest in attending UNC Wilmington comes from many different reasons such as the variety of student organizations and clubs, campus location, and most importantly the different concentrations offered in the computer science major. UNC Wilmington, as suggested by friends and research I've conducted, is a great place that gives students a sense of belonging. Another factor that attracts me to UNC Wilmington is how simple it is to get involved in campus.
It is important to choose a university/college because choosing the right one can help me get the job I want. It would prepare me for the skill and knowledge for the job. The first step I would use to picking a college is going over the ones available as said by Katy Hopkins, “As you weigh several appealing options, think back to why you applied to each…” (1). You also would need to check if you like the university with “...an extended list of pros and cons…” (Katy Hopkins 1).
University of Michigan is known worldwide (my cousins in Europe have heard of the University) as it is one of the most esteemed schools in the United States and the opportunities that the university provides is virtually interminable. The entirety of University of Michigan contains so many traits that would challenge me in more ways than none and these challenges would increase my enjoyment throughout my years in the college. The notion of living in the 6th largest city in Michigan, Ann Harbor, and challenging myself academically and socially are a few of the many examples that cause me to desire to attend University of Michigan. Academically, the University of Michigan has a reputation that creates high standards for students that would challenge
The reason I came to Campbell University is simple, after my Military career I remained in Fayetteville, NC. I managed to get a decent job at the hospital there and work full-time in the Emergency room for the last year. During this time I was to figure out what I wanted in life and that was to get into the healthcare industry. Even though Campbell isn't my first University I attended, its been a while since I was last in school, having served in the Military for the last five years. After applying to the Exercise and Sport Science program at Campbell University, I began to look at what I needed to do in order to fulfil my goals in life. After I complete my Bachelors, I plan on getting accepted into Campbell Universities, Physician Assistant Masters Program.
University of Maryland Baltimore County has been my first choice in schools to attend to further my education ever since I started looking at colleges to apply to in high school. The first time I visited UMBC, my love for the school grew stronger. The campus is beautiful and intimate. The little pond by the library building is so calming and relaxing, it would make a wonderful place for studying. Also, the students and staff members were extremely nice, helpful and welcoming. Another reason I would love to attend UMBC is their cultural diversity. I come from an Indian background and UMBC has an amazing Raas team. I grew up playing and doing Raas, and that is why UMBC feels like home. UMBC is everything I imagined a college would be like and
Going to college, is where your journey in life really begins. Choosing the right college for you is one of the biggest decisions you make in life. I choose California Baptist University to enhance my studies, meet people pursuing the same passion as I am, and become closer to God.
I also wanted to go to an in-state university, so that I could be close to my family. ASU was the only state school to offer such a program for students like me that are un-sure on which career path they want to take or need guidance pinpointing themselves to a certain area of study. I also feel that ASU being one of the biggest universities in the nation has many more opportunities for their students in contrast to going to a smaller
Another reason I want to attend Fisk is because of its location. It is located in flourishing city where I know I will be able to find a job after graduation. I can later establish myself in this city that I have made many connections and friends in. By being accepted to Fisk I will thrive and have the
I believe attending school at the University of Phoenix I will have more job opportunities, increased earning power, and learning opportunities, broaden my perspective, career preparation and most importantly achieving a lifelong dream of obtaining a college degree.
