Currently, in the United States, we face a problem with people coming into this country illegally leading to problems with deportation. Many families have been affected because of this issue and have caused them to be broken apart. Although this is very unfortunate their actions of coming into this country aware that is illegal does make it wrong. As for children that came here without an option is another obstacle we face with deportation a common policy is the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans or DAPA. Immigration problems continue to grow more so with those getting deported and their own countries not wanting to accept them back in. Therefore, it is important to talk about the children who grew up here and are being sent back not being wanted by their homeland, the older generation, and the outcomes of illegal immigration and deportation. “In the United States, 11.4 million of these individuals, or 3.6% of the entire US population, are unauthorized immigrants and have no legal status” quoted in the article The Effects of DACAmentation: The Impact of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals on Unauthorized Immigrants by Nolan G. Pope which shows the number of illegal immigrants coming into the country proving the reason why it has become a topic issue (Pope 98).
