UNB Media Production presents two videos about discrete trial training. In the first training video ABA intervention for discrete trial are discussed using example videos showing therapists working with students. For a discrete trial the therapist shows the student what they would like the student to do such as; get up and dance or clap your hands. In addition, the therapist prompts the students by helping them up or showing them exactly what they would like the student to do. The three parts of a discrete trial are the SD, which is the clear task the student is asked to do, student response or prompt by teacher, and finally the reward or correction (UNB Media Production, 2012). A discrete trial in math could be find the one out of a set of three numbers. In addition, you could use three letters and ask for the student to find one of the letters. You could easily simplify a common core standard to use discrete trials. Goals could be written to state “Johnny with identify one letter shown in a set of three with 80% accuracy.” In addition, you could change it to “Johnny with follow two-step directions for 3 out of 5 trials.” Discrete trials could be used …show more content…
It is different from the discrete trial because it focuses on five pivotal areas. The five areas are motivation, responsivity to multiple cues, self-management, self-initiations, and empathy. Pivotal response can be used in the general education classroom with modifications to the curriculum (Leach, 2014). An example is the student is shown a cookie and told the word cookie. The student reaches for the cookie the teacher gives them the cookie. The teacher repeats the task. The goal then is for the student to say the word cookie and receives the cookie. PRT helps the student learn to request items that they need. Teachers in the general education setting could use PRT anytime the student is requesting something or needs to request
After reviewing weeks 5 and 6 video episodes, we the business consultants have found that CanGo still has some issues that must be corrected in order to operate and function effectively. We have carefully evaluated CanGo’s issues and will be introducing them as well as providing recommendations to make corrections to help improve the company’s problem areas. The first issue was the employee evaluations; very vague. Another that we have noticed is that CanGo is expanding too quickly, another issue that follows CanGo expanding too quickly is that they lack the financial capital to grow so quick. Since they are growing, they are relocating their staff into different positions
After watching the video Precious Knowledge, the first example of ethnic studies being threatened/ facing elimination is that senate is passing bills like 2881 that act against diversity and programs that support and culture beyond what is sought to be “fit” in the American educational system. Programs that promote ethnic studies gives students the pride and knowledge of where they have come from and therefore they feel more engaged in the classroom. Leaders like Tom Horne have the right to their own opinion but are being oppressive by not embracing the culture of different ethnic groups. By not attending these classes and trying to relate to these diverse communities; he is creating a dystopia to the American youth. Political leaders should
Once upon a time there was a 13 year old girl named Emily Anderson who lived in Iowa with her 15 year old brother Jeff and their uncle Ben. It had been 10 years since Emily and Jeff's parents died in a car crash. Emily, Jeff, and their uncle Ben were all super heroes. Emily and Jeff had always questioned their uncle Ben about how they were superheroes, but he would always say they were very lucky but Emily is the special one in the family.
The woman in the clip is not happy with the commitment of the guy as he has failed her. She grabs her collar and hangs her up and as the guy begs her for mercy, she plans a different way of giving what she thinks he deserves. She tears his t-shirt up and attempts a bit of foreplay. She further loses her jacket to display her cleavage and to make him excited. As the guy in the clip thinks s that she is going to intimate with him, she takes an alter from her back and plays with it on his body. She puts it on his neck and slits his throat spilling blood all over her cleavage. She then rubs it o her as she fancies the punishment that she has executed.
A common element in the videos of Una Chica Afroperuana is the reference to being perceived as an “Other” by other non-afro descendant Peruvians, and the conflict between this and her self-identification that is also rooted in her national origin. In the first video of the vlog titled “Things Afro-Peruvians are tired of hearing”, she identifies the continuous questioning by referring to phrases as “where are your really from?”, “You don’t look Peruvian” and “You are too pretty to be Peruvian”. When addressing these questions, she interacts with other people inside of the video and comments on the lack of representation that the Afro-Peruvians have in the media, by pointing this as one of
Film- Precious Knowledge Precious Knowledge is a documentary that takes place in Tucson, Arizona and focuses on how the Unified School district wants to completely ban the Mexican American Studies Program. In the film there were many scenes with examples of rhetorical appeal. I believe that the way the film was set up since the beginning had an impactful and direct emotional appeal on the audience. For instance, in the first scenes of the film we have the opportunity to get to know the main characters in a more intimate level.
Throughout this class, various discussions and blogs have been used to analyze the different elements of films such as theme, cinematic techniques and genre. It is time to bring all of these separate elements together in the analysis of one specific film, according to class text, “analyzing levels of meaning below the surface story can greatly enhance enjoyment as well as understanding of a film” (Goodykoontz & Jacobs, 2014. p. 10.03). There are several different approaches to film analysis including formalist, auteurist, and generic or any combination thereof. Utilizing a genre theory lens, the 1956 film The Searchers will be analyzed addressing contextual information, story/plot, aesthetic choices, social/personal impact and how these areas come together to develop the film.
One example of physical development I observed from this video is how adults involved the babies in activities that involved movement. This let's the baby's body feels a moving sensation. This helps them to understand how their body can move through space. Adults help develop the baby's understand of this by holding, rocking, walking, and dancing with the
The computing innovation found in my computational artifact is Stuxnet. Stuxnet is a piece of malware that was specially designed to be used as a cyber weapon. Stuxnet's target was the Iranian nuclear program. The amazing part of the stuxnet malware was the fact that it didn't harm the average computer. The precedence in the past was that malware would harm the computer that it was placed on. Stuxnet would lie dormant until it reached computers with the nuclear program's software on it. My artifact explains how this malware was created and how it was spread around the world.
Orpheus has me convinced that it works well in an Orchestra. A traditional Orchestra has a hierarchy of Conductor, first chair, second chair, and so on for each instrument. Orpheus promotes a structure of equality where everyone will play in the first chair at some point in the performance. Giving each individual a chance to shine will promote player retention.
At around 9:00 a.m. the parties met in the conference room to discuss the procedure of getting a video job analysis. Applicant's attorney and the applicant appeared to be very defensive. For some reason, applicant's attorney got upset when Ms. Fernandez referred her as an "an attorney" as opposed to her name. During a later conversation among Ms. Fernandez applicant's attorney, and I, applicant's attorney expressed that she felt that in a hostile environment when Ms. Fernandez referred to her an attorney. Frankly, I do not know why applicant's attorney would feel this way. Perhaps, she was trying to set the tone and assert control over today's event. However, Ms. Fernandez remained unshaken.
As the marketing officer in our meat processing company, I have deemed it necessary to reach out to our customers throughout UK using exclusive videos uploaded on our website. Previously, I dare say that I have been in the wilderness. I have been lost for many "centuries" until a friend of mine, also in the marketing industry, referred me to Vertex Media.
The teacher’s goal when implementing this learning format would be to maximize “interest, engagement and ability” to learn from instruction and activities. (Vessel, 4) This instruction format encourages higher learning levels than the concept developmental interaction scenarios. When a teacher utilizes the higher learning format the experience should increase child involvement and increase a child’s senses (visual, movement and sound) with high levels of engagement. A scenario involving high instructional learning would be, a teacher shows two children, two varying pieces of wood and ask each child how many holes are in the wood? Next how many candles does each child need to put in the holes? Final question which child has greater or less than? Milestones which can be observed using this form of instruction would include corresponder and counter. The other format would be low instructional learning this is where a teacher would focus on reciter skills. A scenario a child asks for an eight the teacher responds with which one is an eight. The teacher places various numerals on the floor the child picks up all the eights. Teacher comment is “Good job!” The child is demonstrating a milestone which would resemble skills related to reciting. The teacher would expand the demonstration to include additional scenarios which would assist the child to
Agu is a cheerful pre-teen boy playing barefoot with his friends in an African village. He lives in a Christian home, a modest but clean family dwelling with a father, mother, teenage brother, senile grandfather and infant sister. There is talk of war, sounds of gunfire in the distance and UN troops but the family has high spirits and laugh and joke around. As the civil war gets closer the villagers decide to send the women and children to the Capital for safety. In a melee, there is no room for Agu as the packed cars and taxis depart.
With a trial format, students do not initiate responding. They get used to waiting for a teacher before taking any action, encouraging passivity and prompt dependency.
