I am writing to express my significant interest in the Summer League internship program for Business and Operations. I am inspired by the growth of Under Armour over the last few years and I believe in your CEO’s leadership and mission to empower all athletes through great products. I am currently a second year finance major at The University of Texas at Austin in the McCombs School of Business. I plan to graduate May 2019 and my principal objective upon graduation is to work in the corporate finance department at Under Armour.
About three years ago, I applied to become a seasonal sales associate for Under Armour in Grapevine, Texas. Unfortunately, Under Armour did not hire me for the position. This past summer, with more work experience, I applied for the same position at Under Armour in Allen, Texas. After an interview, I was offered the position and accepted it immediately. Growing up, I have always been a

First, I am an analyst group director for the University Finance Association. The University Finance Association is made up of mostly Finance majors and we meet once a week to discuss financial concepts and provide market updates. In addition, since I am a group director, I lead business case competitions for my group. In these competitions, we develop models and calculations to unfold a strategic plan for individual cases. Secondly, I am an analyst for the University Securities Investment Team, which is the largest student organization in the McCombs School of Business. In this organization, I am a part of a large team that presents stock pitches for our 25k managed portfolio. Frequent tasks include studying financial statements, deciphering market trends, and contemplating outside of the box to determine whether a security is worth an investment. I have a strong passion for both organizations and I hope to utilize the new skills I learn as I venture on through my
New job openings are being created every day; new general managers, teams moving into new facilities, and league policies and rules beings changed. Which means, the sports industry is expanding rapidly and you just have to find something you like and be the best at it. I really enjoyed getting to her Mark McNeil speak considering the fact that now, I know I do not have to go law school to be a sports agent. I have gotten in contact with him and I think this is a big opportunity for me because as far as an internship goes and finding someone to learn from and someone who is willing to teach
I graduated high school back in 1994. I was engaged to be married in just two years, and even though I joined the Pennsylvania Air National Guard right after graduation it was only one weekend a month and two weeks out of the year. So I needed a full-time job. A friend of the family knew a guy who was opening a second store, and was going to need a store manager. I took the job and got started. What I didn’t know was the guy I was just hired to work for was a little confused as to what he wanted. I hung onto the job for a little over a year hoping it would turn around but, no dice.
My name is Jeremy Webb. My major is in Marketing and being accepted for an internship as a “Trackman Stringer” for the Tampa Bay Rays baseball franchise is not only an exciting event but will also provide extraordinary marketing avenues for my career path. This position will begin on April 11, 2017, and end September 10, 2017. This is a paid internship that provides the allotment of approximately 12 hours per week.
I was making a lot more money on the floor then at the front registers, especially with the commission checks rolling in on special orders. I was making a solid figure and decided to take a road trip with two of my best friends, however the road trip ended up going for about 4 weeks. I only had enough vacation for 2 weeks, but we didn’t want to return, so I decided to call out, but that only lasted so long. Upon my return, I was let go from my job, since I failed to abide to the company’s attendance policy. I was unemployed for about 2 months, when I was referred to Best Western International Corporate office. During my unemployment period, I felt miserable and was extremely disappointed in my decision. I didn’t want my family to find out, so I would go out and hang out at my friend’s place and return after an 8-hour shift. I was hired on to Best Western in 2008, where I was a reservations agent taking inbound calls for hotel reservations. I quickly moved around departments getting crossed trained in a number of different fields, which included Rewards and Customer Service and worked on the Language team helping Spanish callers. I then became promoted to a Lead and Customer Care Fulfillment
I’m always fascinated by the stories of successful entrepreneurs such as Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba and Elon Musk the founder of Tesla and Space X. It is not only because of they are famous but also because they found their investors who contribute to their success and have the right to take part of it. The curiosity of finance drags me into the field of commerce and investment. Finance, a comprehensive study, requires the ability of mathematics and understanding of the economic environments which are my two favorite subjects since I was in year 11. I got my first chance to access to the field of finance in 2017 through two internships: at China Everbright Bank and Nuoyuan Holdings, a subsidiary of Hanfor Holdings. Getting to
I am interested in the programs and events internship position for the Volunteer Center of Lubbock. The position requires you to organize workshops, youth events, and even a golf tournament to promote volunteering in the area. I connect with this organization because I feel very strongly about volunteering, I think that everyone should donate their time to help others when they can.
When I discovered the Finance Internship Program with Comcast NBCUniversal on Handshake, I was immediately drawn to the opportunity to join an innovative and industry leading organization. I am excited by the chance to gain corporate finance experience by working in one of Comcast’s many finance functions and being able to develop my business and finance related skills with an organization as prominent as Comcast NBCUniversal. As a junior majoring in Finance at the University of Arizona, I am passionate about corporate finance. My job at the UA Budget Office, my work as a preceptor for the UA Management and Organizations Department, and the knowledge I have gained from the Investments Club
The Association of Intercollegiate Investment Clubs (ACIIC) provides three key benefits; developing and enhancing students through mentorship, encouraging the development of interpersonal skills through collaboration and bridging the gap between the capital markets and university students. These benefits are precisely the reason why I am pursuing the ACIIC so ardently. With recruiting cycle underway, I am interested in exploring the skill development and recruiting preparation analyst tracks to help better understand how to do well in this cycle. Furthermore, I think there is a lot of value in the alumni network of the ACIIC, given the high caliber of students that have gone through the program.
I would like to apply for a 2016 summer internship in the accounting department at the Tennessee Valley Authority Corporate Headquarters in Knoxville. After doing research online and with my career counselor, Robin Lay, at Tusculum College I have decided that the Tennessee Valley Authority would be a stupendous place to begin gaining real world experience and knowledge in the accounting field.
Since starting high school and becoming involved in FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), I have developed a keen enthusiasm for all things business. I have had several opportunities to participate in projects with components of entrepreneurship, collaboration, and innovation for positive social change. These experiences include a week long Junior Achievement camp to design a new phone case and marketing plan for Otterbox, three competitive FBLA presentations on Identity Theft, a Business financial plan for a decorating warehouse/company, a social media campaign for a banquet hall to be used for weddings and other business functions, and participation in a freshmen mentoring program called Panther Pride. During the Junior Achievement camp, I worked with a team of about 15
The critical acclaim for The Canterbury Tales as a whole is matched by the puzzlement over the work’s conclusion, the “Parson’s Tale” and Chaucer’s retraction. By modern standards, it hardly seems the “merry tale” the Parson promises his audience, and after the liveliness of much of the rest of the Tales, it appears to close the work not with a bang, but a whimper.
John Bowlby proposed a theory that the attachment styles are learned in our childhood by particular others; he divided them into four categories: Secure, Anxious/Ambivalent, Dismissive, Fearful. Secure attachment style forms as result of consistent and positive communication between caregiver and the child. Parent, who takes primary care of the child, is always responsive to child’s needs and develops positive and strong bond. The child feels secure and can always depend on the parent; he or she can discuss any problems or concerns with this parent. The children with this style, according to the theory, will grow to be a confident, outgoing and loving adult who does not depend on relationships for their self-esteem.
Motivation and drive help push people to do incredible things. Striving to be like my brother wasn’t motivation to push myself to work hard. I learned that I wasn’t going to be successful if I kept comparing myself to his blinding success. I resorted to looking for an interest that I truly had passion for. I set my attention on DECA, a business organization that built a business acumen. I decided to start taking competition seriously. The stock market competition caught my eye because it was a competition where students could invest in stocks, which were synched with the live stock market. Competing sparked my interest in investments. I learned about how the market worked, types of investments, how to analyze stocks, and the different applications of finance. Once the competition began to level off, I was top 10 in the world. This was the first successful extracurricular activity I had been a part of that didn’t involve my family. It was a phenomenal feeling. Finance then became my passion, and I began to picture myself in this profession.
There are many comparable aspects between the two novels As I Lay Dying, by William Faulker and Cry, the Beloved Country, by Alan Paton. One comparable aspect that can be found in both novels is the many similar themes explored throughout both novels. Many of these themes are prominent throughout literature. When comparing identical themes from two diverse authors, one can understand and appreciate these differences and similarities. Although these themes are commonly discussed, Paton and Faulkner have distinct methods in which the messages in these themes are expressed. Faulkner’s use of expressive visual language, symbolism, different narrators, and motifs bring these themes to life in a very dark manor, which is one reason he is studied by many today. Paton also uses symbolism to discuss these themes, but expresses a different, more intimate tone in this novel than Faulkner projects in his. Although there are many themes to compare between these novels, the most prominent are sickness, religion, family, and race, as well as comparing the authors’ stylistic approaches.
Working at large business such as Andrews requires the skill of communication and experience. I have demonstrated these abilities by leading 16 technology classes over this past summer. My position required effective communication, patience, and strategic thinking, to lead a classroom of students and teacher assistants. At Andrews the Finance Rotation Analysts team will need
