MANAGEMENT CHANGE Question 1: What are the implications for organizations of differences between postmodernists and realists in terms of how they view reality? It is hard, to describe postmodernism exactly in few sentences, since it is constant to develop. Instead, it might be significant to concentrate on what it claims to evade the modernist project. Postmodernism was at first a response to "modernism", which is recognized with rationality, linearity, and "purification" (Featherstone 1991). Mostly it influenced the disenchantment persuaded by the Second World War, postmodernism inclined to refer to a cultural, intellectual, or artistic status deficient on a patent central hierarchy, linearity or systematize principle and representing great complexity, opposition, vagueness, diversity, and interconnectedness. Understanding postmodernism and its insinuations is crucial, particularly for organizations since postmodernism have a power on the culture in which these organizations have to function. Contingency theory, resource-dependency theory, evolutionary theory, and institutional theory illustrate us that organizations are reliant on, interconnected with, and constantly cooperating with their nearby environment (Barkin 2010). Organization's activities, structures, and procedures are affected when the organization's environment becomes unstable, elusive, unpredictable, or complex.
