The agreed ways of working is essentially outlined within the contract of employment. It will state the rules, policies and procedures that must be followed to maintain a safe, effective and harmonious working environment. This also includes a detailed job description, which will list the main and tertiary duties and responsibilities pertaining to the job.

2.3 Explain the importance of full and up to date details of agreed ways of working

By signing the agreed ways of working, it states that you fully understand exactly what is required of you in the job role, as well as polices and procedures that you must adhere to.
By keeping this up to date, it means that both the employer and employee are in complete understanding of the expectations of both parties and any discrepancies can be attended to.
Changes to procedures or updated risk assessments can be stated in a document, giving both e employer and employee peace of mind knowing that they are aware of all current procedures and policies.
This ensures that the job role can be carried out to the highest standard and that the level of care is never threatened.
