Statement of the Problem According to research, unemployment is one of the main problems in Jamaica.This study intends to discover the effects of unemployment on family lives in Brown’sTown, and the factors contributing to the increase in the number of unemployed persons.The study also seeks to determine the causes of unemployment in the society andthe factors which are likely to get you into the unemployment queue. According toobservations and some books, unemployment creates a depressive impact-familyinstability and relationship problems. The internet depicts that unemployment causesfamily disorders. Theysaid that the government must seek to develop programmes to target small and microenterprises. They wish that the government would design a realistic, practical andtransparent regime of incentive and training in order to give momentum to small businessdevelopment. They stress that the ministry must not comprise probity, transparency andissues relating to standard, and quality in its effort to emphasize small businessfacilitation. They suggested that the country needs to educational implementations in place because you cannot put uneducated people to operate business.
