Lab 2.1 consisted of an assessment that evaluated my overall health and whether I was healthy enough to begin a fitness program. Based off of the information in this lab it was determined that I have no physical or health related conditions that prevent me from beginning a fitness program. I determined from this lab that since I am already active I would benefit the most over the course of this class from increasing the duration and intensity of my activities (Fahey, Insel & Roth, 2013, pg.48) and to maintain an overall healthy diet. The area I saw that needed a change was the amount of alcohol I consumed over the weekend. I have since cut that down to 1-2 drinks per week. I still workout five days a week and maintain a healthy diet. The changes

2. a) As the amount of precipitation increased, the amount of eroded loose soil increased significantly as well. The line of best fit also shows that in the future there will be more eroded loose soil if precipitation numbers increase like they have.
Ionic compounds are soluble in water to a certain point depending on the compound. The level of solubility changes among different compounds. Some ionic compounds can completely dissolve in water and appear to be a homogeneous mixture. Although, some ionic compounds dissolve very little, and could be considered insoluble, since it does not dissolve fully. Depending on the compound, the level of solubility can be high or low. However, ionic compounds could dissolve to a certain degree. If the solution appears to be a heterogeneous mixture, many may assume through visual representation that it may be insoluble. As stated previously, the smallest amount of solubility should be considered. To confirm whether or not the substance is soluble, observe the efficiency when conducting electricity. Due to practical reasons, the slightest solubility could be considered insoluble by people.

The atom of an element has electrons that are found around the nucleus in regions known as orbitals. When energy is absorbed by the electrons of an atom they begin to jump to higher energy levels. When this happens the electrons are in an excited state. However when the electrons begin to release the energy and drop in energy levels they emit electromagnetic radiation. If the radiation that is emitted falls between 400 to 700 nanometers then the electrons emit photons which we can see as visible light.
My current study schedule for Unit 2 of BIO 203 has been extremely rigorous and I am already seeing the results. My schedule began with an immediate viewing of both lecture 2 and 3 over the labor day weekend when the learn activity was released. I completed the learn activity while watching these lectures to gain an idea of what parts of the material I needed to focus on and gain a better understanding of. Ultimately, I finished my first submission for the Learn activity on Sunday evening after using 8 hours over the weekend studying the material. Unfortunately, Monday through Wednesday proved to be extremely busy for me, because I needed to prepare for the first general board meetings of the three organizations I am serving as an executive

Tuskegee – The doctors violated this principle by not informing the study subjects of the details of the study itself. The subjects were informed they were going to be treated for “bad blood” (CDC, 2015). At the time “bad blood” could have meant syphilis or it could have meant anemia or fatigue. None of the patients received treatment to cure their illness. Additionally, none were ever informed that they were in fact part of a study to document how syphilis progresses when left untreated. These were autonomous men who had vital information withheld from them while being subjects in a research study.
All learning and exploring is positive and nurturing. The environment needs to encourage children’s development. It’s how children feel positive and confident about their sense of self and their individual accomplishments. Their space needs to provide a balance of challenge, risk and safety.
