Unit 3 Assignment 1 Professional Organization Analysis

Having worked for a large public company for a number of years, I feel we could take on many of their operating procedures to increase profit and market share. Firstly, I will begin with a comparison of public, private and voluntary companies in the housing sector.

Besides the sole proprietorship after reading I learned about three basic types of business organizations known as limited liability (LLC), partnership, and corporation. Sole proprietorship is a “business owned and operated by a single person. The business has no separate legal existence from its owner.” (Rogers, 2012) In the textbook it said “Partnership is an association of two or more competent persons to carry on a business as co-owners for profit. The business itself is not a legal entity.” (Rogers, 2012) The law says competent means a partner having contractual capacity and a partnership where each partners simultaneously a principle and agent. You can partner up with a minor but be wise to emancipation or be cautions because minors can void partnership agreements. Partners of a business are owners and managers automatically unless specified otherwise by partners but according to the law they presume equal rights. “Note that while there can be unprofitable partnerships, there is no such thing as a nonprofit partnership. The partners must intend to make a profit.” (Rogers, 2012)

This following will outline my personal leadership practices and potential future leadership. To analyze my leadership qualities I will use the Seven Habits Profile and a leadership theory to determine my strengths, weaknesses, and areas of opportunity for improvement. In conclusion, I will determine the best recommendations for long-term improvement as well as SMART goals, or short-term courses of action, for leadership improvement.

Brief surveys are conducted on a regular basis by the customer service department to ensure quality is consistent throughout the organization. The Federal Drug Administration (FDA) conducts audits of all manufacturing sites to ensure the proper goods manufacturing practices are followed. The FDA also reviews all standard operating procedures (SOPs) relating to product manufacturing and handling.

The aims of organisations depend on the type of business they are. For example, the aims of a charity organisation will be quite different from those of a for-profit global business. A business needs to have a clear sense of direction, which must be clearly communicated to all stakeholders. This is the aim of the business which can then be broken down into smaller aims and objectives.

Human Service Organization carries a huge responsibility of serving people who is one of their own community. The services provided by these organizations not only serve an individual but also creates a bond and place one in a position of social worth. Alternatively, it could be stated as mentioned in the chapter “These organization improves quality of life of an individual by meeting his/her needs, and offer them an opportunity to practice their professional skills.” There are circumstances that affect how these organization functions. Certain welfare services have a long waitlist, social stigma arises when one starts using such services.

In contrast with McDonalds their success is from globalization. Since the early 1940’s McDonalds has been a burger business, and accomplished to be the first one’s to become global. McDonalds has invested into several community organizations that helped the business to earn trust from the communities and gave more of a positive outlook towards their restaurants. They support their own employees, their families, and other groups of society in every country where it has business. An organizational analysis is an important tool to become familiar with how medical businesses and organizations are able to meet standards of care, provide services for the community and provide employment to health care providers. There are many different aspects to evaluate in an organizational analysis. This paper will describe these many aspects and apply the categories to the University Medical Center (UMC) as the organization being analyzed.

There are many jobs out there that require the applicant to be certified in specific things. This can be from being certified to drive a forklift or being certified to work on a specific computer such as Macintosh or Windows and from being a pastor to being able to drive a motorcycle.
