Purpose of the coursework
In this piece of marketing course work I am going to explain how to produce a marketing strategy for a new or existing product. I will explain how my strategy is based on the principles of marketing. I aim to use primary and secondary resources to help me to analyse the marketing context. I will then explain how to develop a product that meets my target customer’s needs.
Marketing is about understanding customers and finding ways to provide products or services in which customers demand. Marketing is essential for a business to survive. There are currently no mobile phones available which include virtual conferencing. As part of a smart phone, I will include this feature so that it could be helpful for many people. Through this graph, I can see that telelworking makes a positive impact on businesses so having this feature on a smart phone should be very useful.
Nokia will create a marketing mix for this new smart phone. The marketing mix is the balance of marketing techniques required for selling this product. Components of the marketing mix are known as the four P’s. These are product, place, price, promotion. The purpose of a marketing plan is to set the direction your business will go to promote the product, build a customer base and determine any opportunities to make a profit. When making the marketing plan, I will have to predict and decide how my product will meet the client’s needs while being successful.

The American Marketing Association defines marketing as "an organizational function and a set of processes for creating, communicating and delivering value to customers and for managing customer relationships in ways that benefit the organization and its stakeholders". (2005) Simply put, marketing is the process by which businesses assess the needs and desires of consumers in order to provide products and/or services to meet those needs in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Truly effective marketers do market research in an effort to understand their target market and create marketing strategies based on the characterization of those in the target area.
The Mission Statement is a vital component in the strategic planning of a business organization. Creating a mission is one of the first actions an organization should take. This can be a building block for an overall strategy and development of more specific functional strategies (Abrahams, 1995). By defining a mission an organization is making a statement of organizational purpose.
They are comprised of the dreams and inspirations of the organization and where it is headed. This statement also serves as the framework for the organization’s strategic plan. Mission statements are a representation of the organization’s purpose for existing. It should be derived from the vision statement and used as a guide when producing a strategic plan.
In short a mission statement simply tells the staff and management the purpose of the organization, who their target market is and what business they are in. Moving on, next we have a Vision Statement. A Vision statement gives a company a sense of long term direction. It points out what an organization wishes to achieve over a given period of time. It also builds strong inspiration and cohesiveness in the organization while at the same time providing a clear direction of where the organization wants to be in the next five, ten, or more years.

In this assignment I will be exploring what missions statements are, ethos and the values the schools set to reflect their vision. Mission: this means that is it a statement of what an organisation is focusing on and why they want to do it. An example of a mission statement; “Our vision is to create a school community where children participate, excel and are proud of their achievements…” set by Round Hill primary school. Schools create mission statements in order to set themselves a Goal to reach for, a goal in which everyone will learn from it and gain an experience, because the statement they have set is creating them a vision to aim for.

Nowadays, for a company to be successful in the business world one must have a good marketing plan to be successful. One way to accomplish a successful business plan is to use something known as the marketing mix or the four P’s of marketing. These four P’s of marketing are known as the product, place, price, and promotion. If one uses these four P’s one will notice that each of these cover their own part in marketing, which will help make a successful marketing plan. In this paper one will see what each of these four P’s are in marketing. Also one will see how each of these four P’s is used in the marketing plan for Dutch Bros Coffee.

Every company depends on an efficient marketing program to fulfill customers' needs. Marketing is a process of finding out what the customer wants and meeting those requirements. Marketing is an essentially about marshalling the resources of the organization so that they can meet the changing needs of the customers on whom the organization depends. As a verb, marketing is all about how an organization addresses its markets.
